Chapter 32

Bree's POV

It's been getting pretty good with me and Owen. We've been seeing each other but he hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet which sucks! Does he like me? Is he planning on breaking up the relationship we didn't have? Nikki's good with advice I'll ask her!

She's been acting weird lately, I haven't seen her kiss Chase or let him kiss her. They always kiss that's why I'm a little confused. But she still should give some good advice. I walk in her room to see her watching TV with no emotion not even a smile when she noticed me.

"Hey Nikki" I greet sitting next to her. She turns and says with a very small smile, not even big enough to show dimples "hi Bree" she says turning her attention fully to me. "Can I ask you a question?" I say as she shrugs "sure what is it?" I smiled "well you remember Owen?" I ask as she looks like she's thinking. "Um I'm searching through memory but...yes I remember him!" she says excited "well we've been going on dates but he hasn't fully asked me to be his girlfriend. Should I worried?" I asked a little nervous. But what did she mean searching through memory? Did she have some kind of file? "I'm not sure. Maybe he's just nervous or scared" she shrugged. That made sense "or he just doesn't like you" she said making my expression drop "but I've never met him so" she shrugs. This doesn't sound like something Nikki would say. And Nikki has met Owen before.

Soon Adam comes rushing through the door "guys c'mon we have a mission" he shouts as Nikki and I run and follow him. Except Nikki runs at a fast pace instead of using her bionic speed? We get to the living room to see Chase sitting on the couch looking deep into his thoughts. "Chase what's wrong?" I ask "some guy named Allen is threatening to blow up Davenports industry" he says looking worried "lets tell Davenport!" I say about to leave to retrieve him. "We cant! Allen said he would do something that will hurt us if we do" he says looking helpless. "What will he do?" I ask. He gets up and stands guard by Nikki "I don't know and I don't wanna find out" he says. "Well what are we gonna do?" I ask trying to get more information "he gave us an address to go to. He said come all us 4 and don't bring anyone else" Adam explains. "Well lets go" I say sighing. Chase puts his arm protectively over Nikki's shoulder. She hasn't freaked once, and she's usually the first too. We walk out the house unsure of what's waits for us.

We come up to a what looks like a normal any day house. I heard the noise of a camera zooming in and then a voice "your here!" then the door swings open. Adam is trying to look brave and Chase is secured around Nikki but I don't know how I'm to act. "Come in" he invites casually. It's a bit weird. When we walk in we walked into a giant laboratory. You really can't judge a book by its cover. "Take a seat" he offers us. But there's only 3 seats? we all sit except for Nikki "Nikki aren't you gonna sit?" she looks at Allen with a smile "nope" she answers making me confused. How could she know him? Does she know him?

"So I have a compromise" he states standing in front of us. "What kind of compromise?" Chase asks uneasily. "Well you join me in taking down Davenport industries and I give you all bionics that you never knew you had. Plus a fair lady" I didn't understand but I know my answer "no way!" we all say in union. He sighs "oh I wish it didn't have to come to this" he says as Nikki joins his side "Nikki watch out!" Chase warns "calm down its not the real her" he says poking somewhere in her back causing her to collapse "Nikki!" we all shout as Allen laughs. "It's not the real her! Just one moment. Nikki come here a minute" Allen calls leading a few seconds later to a door opening and Nikki walking in. What the?

"hey guys" Nikki greets "Nikki! Get away from him" Chase warns looking terrified "wait I'm confused" Adam states the obvious "well I got Nikki here to join me into my plan and I sent the fake to take her spot so you wouldn't see it coming" we exchange looks "see what coming?" I ask. He grabs a remote "this" he says and presses the purple button.

Making Nikki's eyes flair red and get into a stance that signals ready to fight. "What?" Chase asks confuse "your not leaving out of here without taking down Nikki first" Allen says happily. "What? we can't fight Nikki" I say "yeah I know. So it's either join me or Nikki takes care of you" she would never hurt us. Nikki swing kicks Adams leg. I take that note back "well then she will have to hurt us" I say because I can't fight her. Chase looks stunned "ok" Chase says "ok what?" Allen asks grinning "I'll join you" he agrees. "What? Chase you cant!" I shout "I've spent, the longest time trying to keep Nikki out of harms way. Nikki is my future and I know that for fact. So where else am I suppose to go?" he says walking beside Nikki. As she quits her stance and looks at Chase with a warm smile before hugging him. "Aww how cute, take them to the room" Allen orders Nikki and Chase.
