Chapter 20

Nikki's POV

"What is that suppose to mean?" I ask at Adam sassily. "It's just a fact guys are stronger then girls" Bree had her arms crossed beside me as I was the same way "that's so not true!" Bree protests "yes it is!" He says back "how about we find out by me throwing you against the wall over there" I say with a smile "I could throw you way farther" Adam says happily "you can think guys are stronger but girls are better!" Bree says "yeah!" I say as we high five. Chase came in walking to Adam "what's going on?" "These girls believe that girls are better and stronger then guys when guys are clearly better" Chase laughs making my mouth fall into an o shape. I thought Chase would be more mature about this "you agree with him?" I say offended. He looks at me a bit scared. Maybe my eyes are glowing but that doesn't matter now "well, Nikki you and I both are smart enough to know that guys are equipped with more muscle capacity in there arms causing them to have a stronger ability" of course I'm smart enough to know "doesn't count when we have bionics" I say with my arms still crossed "it must be embarrassing knowing your girlfriend is stronger then you" Bree said as Adam makes an ohh sound. Leo comes in from around the corner with something to his smile "I couldn't help but hear your little conversation. I think that you should have a competition. Without your bionics" what he said sounded interesting "smart. I'm in" Bree says "I'm in too" Adam says "me and Nikki aren't in were too mature for that" Chase says taking my hand like we weren't just fighting about strength "speak for your self I'm in!" I say as Chase looks at me surprised "are you serious?" He asks I let go of his hand and stand next to Bree "dead serious. We're gonna prove girls are better" I say high fiving Bree "fine I'm in too" Chase saying high diving Adam. "Great the battle of the sexes! I'll be keeping score and planning the obstacles and remember no bionics" he says leaving to the backyard. "Last chance to back out now" Adam says with a satisfying smile. Bree and I look eachother with a straight face "never" we say at the same time. "I'm going check out what's first" Bree says going to the backyard as Adam follows "me first!" He says running like a child, leaving Chase and I alone. Chase has a smirk on his face as my face is straight "what?" I ask "nothing just know I'll be here with open arms when we win" he says with a cocky smile "what makes you think you'll win?" I ask "because guys are obviously the better gender" I scoff "whatever. Just know that because of this don't expect any kisses for the next few days" I say smiling and heading to the backyard "that's unfair!" He protests like a kid but I keep walking. I see Chase show up at my side and pick me up bridal style "it's fair. If guys are so much better then they don't need anything from girls" I say with a smile "one more kiss?" He asks in a begging tone "fine" I say while I lean in and kiss his lips. I loved Chase and kissing him but I was against people being sexist. After I pulled apart I jumped out of him arms and ran for the backyard.

Chase POV

Because of this stupid competition Nikki won't let me kiss her for the next few days which is so unfair! When we win I'll act as if its no big deal,maybe she will see my maturity and get over this. Or maybe I should let the girls win. Nikki will feel sorry for me and forgive me for this stupid fude. This is surrounding my mind. I hope this is over soon. I meet up outside to see hurdles are set up,must be about speed. I walk over to Adam as he looks like he's getting ready by doing some pretty weird stretches "what are you doing?" I ask looking at him like he's crazy,because he is. "Stretching we gotta beat the girls" I nod but I add "what if we just let the girls win" he freezes and looks at me "no way! We have to win and show the girls who's boss!" Before we could say any further Leo starts talking into a karaoke machine microphone, I don't even wanna know where he got. "Attention,attention! This obstacle here will be about speed and agility" I knew it! "The guys go first" I see the girls shrug and we get in position. Before starting off I look at Nikki with a smirk as she returns it. I wink at her as the whistles blown and we start running and jumping. It was hard not tripping over the things but I got through safely "time! 1.22 seconds!" Me and Adam cheer. There's no way they can beat that! "Now I have an announcement! Since both Nikki and Bree have the bionic to run at lightning speed,there not able to turn it off making them not able to participate" the girls groan and I hear Nikki scream "what?!" As Adam is having a celebration "hold up! Let me finish, since they both are not able to participate I called in someone who can" soon came in from the house was Lauren. Adams jaw dropped to the ground, I laugh at how he's got to go against his girlfriend now

And so do I...

Nikki's POV

I was mad and was about to take down Leo when he said he called someone who could do it for us. Then came in Lauren "yes! We have Lauren!" I cheer "what's so exciting about it?" Bree asks "Lauren's head runner on the track team! She can run crazy fast without our bionics" I say as Bree smiles and yells "Lauren come here!" Lauren does so "hey guys!" She says giving us hugs "Lauren whatever you do don't go easy on the guys because your boyfriends on the team" I say as she scoffs "believe me I won't I don't go easy on anyone who is sexist to girls" we high five her as she gets ready at the start. "Go!" Leo says and Lauren shoots off super fast. By the time she's done the guys have there jaws to the ground "time! 1.02 seconds!" Me and Bree cheer! "Haha we win!" We shout over to the boys "it isn't over yet!" Adam says pounting "good luck" we say high fiving as Lauren comes over and we giver her a tight hug for wining it for us while we could have made it around in 3 seconds. It was still pretty impressive for a girl who no bionics. "Next is strength choose one team member to participate in this round. And it can't be Adam or Nikki do to your you know whats" I groan "why can't you do it?" Lauren asks "ugh" Bree says trying to think of a cover up "because my....ankle hurts" Lauren looks down "your ankle doesn't hurt" I freeze then drop to the ground holding my ankle "oh it hurts! I think I sprained it!" I repeated as the girls looked at me along with Chase I could see from my side view. "Ok drama queen how about Bree goes" she suggests "I think that too" Bree nods and goes by Chase who was doing the round. "The goal is to throw the small size bolder the farthest" the two participants nod and Leo blows the whistle. Bree starts building her strength in one as we cheer "go Bree go!" Then Chase and Bree through the rock but Chases got farther. Adam cheers on the sideline "woo hoo! Go Chase!" Like it proves anything. Some times one guy is stronger then the girl but sometimes it's vise versa so it proves nothing. "Last obstacle is smarts" am I going to get to participate in anything?! I guess that's what you get for being the bionic team with all three of the Davenports bionics combined "this round Lauren against Adam" he says smiling knowing what there doing. Lauren is as smart as I use to be without the chip which was straight A+'s smart. Adam looked a little nervous as they started asking questions. But he cought onto it. Each question earning them more points. As they finished Leo goes up to announce the winner.

Bree and I hold hands in excitement as Chase and Adam are on the edge of there seats. "The winners are...the girls" we started cheering "and the boys" what?! "It was a tie!" Leo says with a smile "this was rigged so we would both win!" I shout "yes it was and now I can stop hearing your stupid fighting and I can get my beauty rest" he says leaving without another word. "Ugh! This was so not worth it" Bree groans as the guys walk over. "Good job" Chase says with a smile as he nudges Adam "yeah good job" I smile "thank you" Lauren hugs Adam and I hug Chase. I pull back,still in his arms "are you mad at me still?" I think about it for a second then I kiss him which he smiles in,gladly accepting "I'll take that as a no" he answers smiling as I giggle.

This was odd but I still wondered are girls stronger,smarter,and faster or are guys? But with my bionics I can prove everyone wrong ;)
