Chapter 48

Nikki's POV

"Nikki,Nikki get up" I hear someone waking me up from a nap. I spring up and karate chop them persons leg. I turn on my lamp that I thawed out after yesterday and saw Davenport on the ground while holding his leg.

"Davenport I'm sorry!" I apologizes as I help him stand up

"It's fine, you just gave me a Charlie horse." He says while sitting on the bed.

"What did you need?" I asked sitting next to him

"Chase needs you at camp. No time to explain, your getting on the next flight we gotta go now!" He says starting to stand up. I'm going see Chase! Yippee! I accidentally but excitedly Charlie horse his other leg.

"Danget Nikki! Just,c'mon!" He says and I follow him.

"I still don't understand why I'm here." I say as we stop at the entrance of the camp. He sighed and put his face to my level

"Yesterday, when you and Chase video chatted. You guys did tricks with your bionics and some kid walking by got it on camera. Your here to help Chase get it back. I'm gonna be in town while your here. I need you to make sure that this videos deleted." He said in trusting tone. I nodded

"Ok, now this camp is for boys. So I'm gonna be the father to you. Your gonna be the best science prodigy around. Just thrown in your knowledge and were in." He instructed

"Ok. I can do that." I reply confidently

"Alright let's go." He says putting his hand on my back to lead me in.

We walk into the camp. It was really outdoorsy. We walked under a giant wooden sign that said the camps name. What I was worried about was not having good shoes on. I was in flip flops. I was gonna be disgusting.

"Hello! Do you need something?" A lady with a camp shirt and jeans asked my 'dad'

"yes, my daughter here will be joining the camp. She was accepted for being the best prodigy around." He showcases.

"Well, this is an all boys camp." She informs us. Making her face look like she's disappointed.

"Yeah, the owners told me. She has a brother who's goes here. They said she would sleep in his cabin. He goes by the name Chase Davenport." I don't know why it just now hits me. But I start getting excited. I'm going see Chase! My heart nearly leaped out my chest at the sound of his name. It's been five days since I've seen him. I miss him like crazy.

"Oh, Chase is her brother?" She asked probably not seeing any resemblance. I mean, I would hope not. He is my boyfriend and I rather not get mistaken for his sister.

"Yes, Nikki gets her looks from her mom." He says and then draws in a big breathe through his smile

"Well, Nikki I'll be going. Have fun!" He wishes me and hugs me before leaving. I turn to the counselor and wait

"Ok Nikki, I'll take you to Chase is cabin. Follow me." She says as I obey excitedly

"Listen up, you got a new roommate." She says to the three boys in the cabin.

"This is Nikki. You'll be sharing this cabin with her." I nod and smile proudly as I lock eyes with Chase and his smile grows.

"I'll let you settle in." She says before leaving and closing the door behind her. Before I could turn my head back to look at Chase, he already had his arm around me, engulfing me in a hug. I wrap arms around his neck so that we're held together. Although lovey feeling i missed having are now coming back to me. I looked up at him and kissed his lips lovingly. After a few seconds we parted and I turned to face the guys.

"Guys, this is Nikki." He says proudly. I smile and wave. Then I feel Ryan's eyes on me. I wanted to flash my eyes red to warn him but that doesn't make matters any better. I'm not sure if he knows I'm bionic yet.

"He's the one with the video." Chase whispers in my ear and what I'm gonna do about it goes through my mind.

I walk over to Ryan and hold my hand out.

"Hi, I'm Nikki." I introduce myself in case he was engulfed in boyish things.

"I'm Ryan." He says taking my hand and kissing the top of it. I turn around and look at Chase and Brennan

"Do you mind leaving us so we can talk alone?" I ask and Chases face looked just as concerned as I felt. I've never wanted Chase to be away from me as I talk but im trying to do him a favor. Brennan looks at Chase and leads him out. As Chase takes one last look back I smile at him.

After they've left out I look at Ryan who's got an uncomfortable smirk on his face. I gave a fake smile

"So Ryan. It came to my attention that you have something,big." I say trying to sound interested.

"Depends what you mean." He says seeming a little hostile to the questions.

"It was just a question." I say as he narrows his eyes at me

"I know your Chases girlfriend, you've probably heard what I have and you wanna get rid of it. I'm not stupid. I got into this prodigy camp for a reason." He says and I know what I have to do next.

I put on a desperate face "you don't understand. He's forcing me to act the way I do to him, or else bad things happen. He hits and won't let me go. You've seen what he can do, just imagine what he'd do to me if I betrayed him." I say as Ryan gives me a unsure look.

"What do you plan to do?" He asked

"I wanna upload the video to his computer. Make it look like he did it himself so that if he denies it, we can show it's from his computer. I want him to be known. Please, I don't want to be with him anymore." I felt sick with the last sentence but I had to sell it. So I clutched his arm and gave him puppy dog eyes. He seemed sold

"I like how you think. What's first?" He asked and I smiled. Fake half that he's agreed to expose my boyfriend, true half that he's fell for it.

"Have you given the video any other person or is only on one device?"

"One device" he answered

"Give me the memory card, I'll get Chase to give me his computer. Then I'll do the dead." He gets his phone out and retrieves the memory card. I take it and put it in my pocket before the door opens. I quickly turn to see Chase.

"Ok, enough alone time." He says, as he comes over and wraps his arm around my waist. I give Ryan a fake look that said 'look'.

Chase turned to me with a smile that matched. "How about I show you around." He offers and I nod happily.

As we walk around the camp quietly. I decided to break it.

"I got a surprise for you." I say

"What is it?" He asked turning to me.

"Guess."

"A rocket?"

"No"

"Microscope?"

"C'mon Chase, something not nerdy." I said as he thought

"Your staying?" He asked and I sighed and took out the memory card.

"I got the video of your bionics back. Gosh you take long." I say and his smile widened before twirling me around in a hug. Then passionately kissing my lips.

"Your the best girlfriend ever." He said happily.

"I know." I reply before he let's me down.

" I'm calling Davenport to come get us. We need to leave before Ryan finds out I tricked him." Chase nods and we call.

Chase POV

"Chase is back!" Tasha cheers as I come through the door with Davenport trudging behind. She stops when she sees Nikki in my arms. She fell asleep the car ride back. The plane second plane ride in a day must have worn her out.
I smile and kiss her forehead before laying her by me on the couch. Putting her head in my lapse I sit. I needed to rest. After stressing all morning and coming back. Took a lot out me.

"Did you enjoy camp?" Tasha asked I nodded.

"It was fun. You know, except getting cought with bionics." I shrug

Tasha puts her hand on my shoulder. "I'm sorry honey that you had to leave early." She apologizes but I shake my head no.

"It's ok. I didn't like being away from everyone." I look down at Nikki and rub her arm. "I missed everyone too much. I don't think I'll be separating myself in for a while." Davenport out his arm around Tasha and kissed her head as she smiled.

" I know how you feel." He says with love in his eyes. I smile and look at Nikki to see she's smiling in her sleep.

"I'm sure you do, well were going to bed. Night." Davenport says leaving with Tasha.

"Night." I answer and I'm left with Nikki. I snake myself behind Nikki so I'm laying behind her. I wrap my arms around her as she turns and cuddles in my chest. My heart swells with satisfaction at what I've missed, Nikki in my arms. I smiled and knew I could finally sleep with the girl I loved in my arms.
