Chapter 41 part 2

Nikki's POV

"Wow. They look just like us" I say looking at the doubled us. "They are you, technically" Leo says making me think he has something to do with this. "Leo what did you do?" Chase asks before I could. "I went into a parallel universe and accidentally brought back your double gangers" he says trying to smile and lighten the mood. Parallel? Does that mean there like us? "Cool" Adam says. "I'm not sure about this" Bree says stepping back as I do the same. Chase wraps his arms protectively around me and kisses my head. "See! They can do that without arguing!" The second Chase says to my other. "Then date her then" she snaps. What the? I see the second Adam actually reading without having it upside down "there your opposites. Anything they do different" Leo explains and we all step forward to our seconds. The other Nikki is examining me carefully as I do her. "Well, your not ugly" the second Nikki says. "Thanks. I think" I say back. "Wow I look smart!" Adam cheers "I am smart" the second Adam confirms. "Is that Chase actually wearing a jersey?" Bree asks "yeah? Why?" He asks unsure. I wrap my arms around Chases arm "even though I love him, this Chase has no athletic bone in his body" I say as Chase turns to me "hey!" He says trying look offended. "Who saved your butt in football last time you were dragged in?" I reminded him and he didn't answer knowing I won. I giggled and kissed his cheek. The other Chase and Nikki rose an eyebrow to my gesture. "Well, until I can figure out how to get them back With this working because I think I broke it. Just talk to them or something I don't know" he says running off to find Davenport. As we awkwardly stand there the second Nikki grabs my arm and bring me into the other room of the lab. I look at her confused when were far out of there hearing range and she looks at me like I'm crazy "what?" I ask confused. "You kissed Chase" she said like it was unbelievable "yeah, why, are you not dating the other Chase?" I ask confused still. "I am but we don't kiss" she said looking disgusted at the word. "Why not?" "Because, have you seen him?" She said making her eyes wide. I'm a bit offended. Technically she insulted my boyfriend. "You don't like him, but your dating him?" This Nikki makes less sense then I do. "I do like him, a little. But obviously he doesn't care" she scoffs. I heard a knock on the closed entrance by a giant steel door. "Are you ok in there?" I heard two people ask but the same voice,Chase. "Yeah" I answer "Nikki, I know were complete opposites but really, why are you so hard on Chase?" I ask and she starts to laugh "you don't know what it's like. He expects me to do stuff with him,go to all his games,watch movies,and-" "to be a supportive girlfriend?" I say smiling. I could tell that Chase and mine weren't total opposites. "It's just too hard!" She says throwing her arms up and grunting. Then it hit me "do you have anxiety?" I ask randomly. I have it, but I take medicine because it could make my bionics go hey wire. She doesn't answer and I take it as a yes. I learned only our personalities were different not everything else. She sighs "it just feels like everything is happening at once and I'm being suffocated" she says in defeat. "I know the feeling, but I think you could cut your Chase some slack. Just try and agree to stuff he wants to do with you. Things could be worse, he could be doing this with Gwen" I say hitting a nerve. She looked fired up. I knew she would get jealous like I would,did. "I hate her. They've dated" she said rolling her eyes. I don't know why I'm extremely jealous now. Thank goodness my Chase hasn't. But then again I did secretly date his brother. But that's different! "They have?" I ask through my teeth "yeah, they were like head couple. I hated it. When they broke up he asked me out the next day and I wasn't turning that down" she says. I feel like I,in a weird way, would do the same. "Are you dating him to get back at her?" I ask feeling that Nikki might. She shook her head "no, she assumes I am but I'm not. I like Chase but when it's too much I lash out" she says. I get up and hug her,myself,weird. "Just try something different. Try and go to a couple of his games. I'm sure he's proud for people to know your his and what better way to do it?" I ask as she nods "I'll try. But if you weren't me, I wouldn't listen" she says and I giggle. That sounds like something I would say.

Chase POV

What I would give to know what in Pete's sake the other Chase is talking about. He's explaining football. I rather actually have a conversation with the opposite Adam. He's got brains, never thought I'd say that. Our Adam is pestering him with questions. Bree and Bree are squealing over some stupid girly thing. "So then the receiver totally missed the perfect shot I mean it was as easy as throwing a free throw. You know what I mean?" I put my lips to a thin line "no clue" I say shaking my head. "I don't know how your me if you don't play sports. How are you smart? Davenport always praised Adam for being the smart one" he says as I raise an eyebrow. I can't picture that. "Here, he was sporty. Well more then me" I shrug "then what do you like to do?" He asks furrowing his eyebrows "well, I do a bit of studying, bionic training, mostly a lot of things I do are with Nikki" I shrug. He chuckles "I can't even get her to sit by me on the couch! And you do all that with her?" He says and I'm taken back "yeah" I answer "I'd be lucky if she doesn't call me a sports big at least 10 times a day" he says smiling. I was gonna answer when the giant steel door lifts and both Nikki's emerge from the other room. My Nikki comes and hugs me. I wondered what for but didn't ask. She looked up at me and smiled "I love you" she says and I smile back "I love you too" I respond. Suddenly her grip tightens and it's maken it hard to breathe "and if you ever try anything with Gwen. I will hog tie you and leave you in the middle of the freeway" she threatens I think the other Nikki has something to do with it. "I promise" I say truthfully and her grip loosens. I turn and look at the other Nikki who's got the other Chase grasped by the shirt with his lips pulled to hers. Is that how Nikki and I look kissing? It's like a mirror. Creepy.

Soon Leo came bouncing in

"After sweet talking big D I got the remote fixed!" He cheered. I smiled and looked at him while wrapping my arm around Nikki "sweet talked?" I asked "I'm grounded. But we can get back to how things were" he says and the others all huddle together. We all waved to them. I wish I could've talked with Chase a bit longer he could've gave me some tips on sports.

Parallel Chase POV

I don't know what the nice Nikki told my Nikki. But I'm fine with it. Nikki actually kissed me and told me she loved me. Meeting the other Davenports was different. My other version was me version of Adam. That's not a good thing. But meeting them made me see a new perspective and made me think things through and I've got one thing to say..

I'm tired of thinking
