Chapter 7

Nikki's POV

I woke up after being unscious from the previous hits in the head.

I was still in the room.

But something made me scared when I couldn't hear Chase anymore.

I opened my eyes hoping to see Chase standing in victory and Kyle beaten in defeat.

But. It was the other way around.

"No!" I screamed crying seeing Chase lay there without movement. Not even from his stomach.

"It's too late now to save him. He's dead and it's all your fault" Kyle said looking at me with a smile.

I started crying hard.

"Nikki! Nikki! Wake up!" I was being shooken awake by Bree?

Where was I?

I looked around to see I was at the Davenports.

"Why am I here?"

I asked drying the tears from my dream.

"Chase told us to come and get you and bring you back here. You were beaten up pretty bad"

I look to see I was cleaned up a bit but still had marks.

"Where's Chase?" I said a little shooken from the dream.

"He's still there but it shouldn't be much longer. I called your mom and said you were sleeping here tonight so why don't I bring you up to the guest room?"

"Thank you so much. For everything" I said hugging her.

"Anything for my best friend" I smiled.

Bree really is my best friend.

"Now lets get you upstairs and ready for bed"

"Ok" I said getting up and following her to my guest room.

After a few hours of sleep I couldn't sleep. It was still racking my brain.

I couldn't stay in bed while he's still out there. Maybe he's-

No! Don't think like that!

"That's it I'm going out there" I got my sketchers on.

I was in a pair of Brees pajamas. But I didn't care. I was going out and find Chase.

As I walked down the stairs. I almost reached the door when I was startled by a voice.

"Where do you think your going miss Nikki?" I saw the little panel glow

"Shhh! Eddie be quiet I'm going find Chase" "but your suppose to be in bed"

He had the worst annoying voice ever.

"I know. Please Eddie don't tell" I said giving him puppy eyes. I know Eddie and he would do anything for the puppy eyes.

"Not with the eyes! Ugh! Fine I won't tell" "thank you Eddie" I said.

With that I headed out the door I'm gonna find Chase no matter what.

Chase POV

I finally escaped. Kyle was knocked unscious I had strength I've never seen before. But Nikki was on my mind the whole time. Must have been where its from.

I hobbled down the road. The house was 3 blocks away. But I had to get home.

Then it hit me. Is Nikki ok? She was pretty badly hurt. No matter what I had to get back to see if she's ok.

I had gotten about a block away when I collapsed. My legs were exhausted from the fight.

I tried getting up but I couldn't move. The only light I had was from the light poll I was propped up against.

I was in major pain. I was pretty sure I broke my arm.

I was ready to give up and get home in the morning.

Suddenly I head a voice. "Chase!" "Nikki?"

Nikki's POV

I had been walking for about 20 minutes.

Chase never left my mind.

I felt stupid for not forgiving him sooner. I was an idiot. I was stupid for not realizing I still had feeling for him. I should've talked to him. I should've-

Suddenly I saw a figure. I couldn't really make out who it was. I walked closer. The person looked in pain.

No matter who it was I had to help.

I ran over when the person became clear.

"Chase!" "Nikki?" I ran over and hugged him.

"I'm so sorry this is all my fault this should've never happened-" I said tears coming out of my eyes. I was happy to see he's alive.

"Nikki it's not your fault I was stupid. I should've never let grades and smarts get in the way of my love for you" I smiled tears still running down my cheeks.

He wiped my tears away with his thumb. "I love you too"

Chase cupped my face and we kissed.

It probably looked weird. I was in my pajamas and sketchers and Chase was beat up. But I didn't care.

When we parted I looked at him. He looked like he was in some pretty serious pain. He couldn't stay out here all night.

"C'mon lets get you home" I said strapping his right arm over my shoulder and bringing my other arm to his waist helping him up.

"Thanks" "anytime" with that we walked or hobbled home.

When we got home everyone was still asleep

"Lets get you to my room so you don't wake anyone" "ok" he said smiling. The smile I loved and missed like crazy.

When we got to my room I set him down on my bed.

"Now where does it hurt" I said sitting next to him.

"Mostly my face" I looked in better light. He did have bruises as many as mine. His lip was busted "does this hurt?" I said touching his lip. He winced a bit "yeah" he said taking me by the hand. "Then how come it doesn't hurt when you kissed me?" I said a bit curious.

He looked me in the eyes "I've been waiting so long to do that that I didn't care about the pain. For you it was worth it" I smiled. He was the sweetest.

I looked at the clock it was 12:45

"Lets get you to bed" I said putting him on the left side of the bed while I got into the right.

I layed on my side was better able to sleep now knowing Chase was ok.

Suddenly I felt him outline my body with his. His arm draped over mine.

I turned to face him. His eyes were closed. I burried my face into his chest. It was warm knowing he was here.

Knowing he's by my side I know I can take anything

I'm thinking of having Adam have a girlfriend what do you guys think?
