Chapter 49

Nikki's POV

"woo" I breathe out as I collapse on the couch from helping Tasha set up Christmas decorations. Tasha was using all the strength in my bionics to make the house sparkly and full of cheer. It just ment more work for me. I used my super speed for most part but I had to use my others too. She's lucky I really like Christmas decorations.

"Thanks Nikki" Tasha said with a smile. While sitting next to me.

"No problem. What do you guys have planned for Christmas?" I asked. On Christmas I might go back to my old home and kind of just hang out there and go back to the Davenports later. I don't wanna intrude on there family activities with a odd member.

"Well, were having a Christmas party. With just us. Were also gonna enjoy ourselves before that. Might watch movies." She puts her hand over mine and gives it a motherly squeeze and puts her hand back in her lap. "It will be fun." I smiled and nodded.

Then Chase comes in from the elevator as the two doors open greatly to show my handsomely suited boyfriend. He was in his mission suit. Either just coming back from experimenting or trying it on, making sure no growth spurts occurred.

Chase came and sat by me. He leaned back on the couch before putting his arm around my shoulders. I leaned against him with my hand lightly pressed to his chest.

"Woah, what's with all the decorations?" Chase asked looking around the room.

"Christmas." I shrugged with a smile.

"Christmas, how do you celebrate?" I turned to him with a shocked expression.

"Tell me you've celebrated it before." I begged as I looked at Tasha and her lips were in a straight line as she looked down.

"Nope, we were sent to school in February. Before that we were in the lab for training. I mean we'd get presents in December but like one or two." Chase shrugged. I squealed.

"That's unbelievable. I don't even have family around but I still celebrate." My past Christmases had to do with going to my aunts that keeps my brother. It doesn't really get me that my mom and dad are always away. They work,so it's fine.

"Go get Bree and Adam." I order.

"Why?" Chase asked.

"Were all going to do something Christmasy." I said standing up. "Do you wanna come Tasha?"

"No, you kids have fun. I got Leo doing some decorations for me that I need to improvise." I smiled to her as I walked over to Eddie.

"If you say so." I told her before using Eddies wall panel to voice my command into the lab

"Adam and Bree, come up. Were going out." I said before I returned the screen to pitch black.

"I still don't understand what were doing." Chase says from the couch til I join him.

"Were going to have fun." I said as he sighed. "It'll be good. Maybe we will even run into mistletoe." I said with a smile as I squeezed his arm. He raised an eyebrow

"What's that do?" He asked. I leaned in a pecked his lips,lingering so he'd get the idea.

"When your under mistletoe, you gotta kiss." I explained and he smiled.

"That may be my favorite." He says and I giggle. I hope I can give them a nice Christmas Eve.

Ow, what's jabbing me in the back? I sit up and find myself sprawled out on the control panel. One of the buttons was poking me in the back. What am I doing here? And why can't I remember what happened yesterday? I remember Chase,Bree,and I leaving but that's it. I look over and see I'm alone in the lab. Where is everyone? Adam and Bree sleep in capsules. But there's are empty. I see Chase laying on the floor beside me. He was dressed as a girl, I couldn't help but laugh. He wakes up and sees me laughing. I knew as much as to why he was dressed like that then why I was dressed as Mrs.Clause.
