Chapter 38

Chase pov

Davenport thinks he's so superior with his inventions. Well there's two great minds under this household. You know, not counting Nikki. But I decided to create something truly genius. Plus Nikki will love it. I'm creating a robodog. It'll work because c'mon, who doesn't trust a dog?

He's made out of metal and wires but has a built in hallagram so everyone sees a colley. It's got a sonic bark and super speed. Tons of other features but ill leave that for everyone to find out.

Nikki's pov

*scratch scratch*

Ugh. What is it? Repeating scratching on my bedroom door. I try going back to sleep but the noise grows aggravating. So I stuck my head under the pillow to block out the noise. But soon I heard barking? Was I going nuts? I swear, if Leo has brought home a dog. If Leo's crush was here and not in some meeting with Davenport he wouldn't have broken so many things in a day. I groan and sit up. I swing my legs off my bed and stand up clumsily. I then walk over to the door and when opened, I meet the face of a dog? Leo! Don't get me wrong I love dogs but I've got allergies so it would drive then crazy. After the dog and I held a 5 second staring contest, Chase popped up beside it. "Surprise!" He cheers but I raise an eyebrow "you bought a dog?" I asked "no I made a dog. It's a robot with a built in hallagram,masking it from the world." He explains "impressive" I smile and nod. I crouch down and look the somewhat dog in the eyes. It was a purebred colley. It had white fur with brown ears and back. "His name is Chester" Chase introduces "cute name" I compliment. At least Chester wont make me sneeze. "Hi Chester"I coo at the dog before he growls and barks. Making me loose my balance and fall back on my butt. "Chester must be playing" Chase says while grinning and giving Chester a scratch behind the ear. I blow a piece of my bang out my face and eye the dog "yeah,play" I reach forward to pet the dog as it snaps at me and starts barking like crazy. Scaring me as I crab walk backwards,trying to escape the rabid animal. "Woah Chester,d-down boy" I command/plead. Chase grabs Chester and stops him but Chester lets out a growl "Chester, what got into you?" he asks as he holds out a hand and helps me up. "Im sorry its probably a glitch" Chase apologizes but I kept my stare down with the dog trying to hold my ground. "Im gonna go get a leash and take him out for a walk. Maybe it will take out this energy. ill be right back" he says kissing my cheek and leaving.

I crouch down to Chesters level as he growls at me. "Listen dog, I don't want us to be enemies but you need to stop this act" I say as he positions himself in an attack position. I make my eyes glow red as a warning he better back down before I blow his head sky high. Chester starts to bark at me and I flinch a little but hold my ground so that he knows im not scared when I was a little nervous on the inside. "Your really lucky your Chases invention." he barks in response "so help me Ill-" I was cut off by Chase returning. Chetser sat down and breathed with his tongue out like we weren't just about to show down "im back" he announces as he comes beside me a wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me in to plant a kiss on my lips "you two are still alive, ill take that as a good thing" he says as I fake smile without responding. "Well im gonna go take him for a walk. Ill be back soon and we can do something" he says planting another kiss on my cheek and heading out the door. Chester flashed a look at me with his eyes glowing before leaving.

Great. Chase invented something that hates me. Just my luck

this is REALLY short i know. But i snuck onto my computer (which im grounded from) to write this for you guys because you mean so much!
