Chapter 19

Chase POV

After the humiliating day at school dressed as a girl last week I was finally hoping the taunting would stop.

I woke up to go and wake up Nikki.

When I opened the door Nikki was sitting up hunched over coughing. I rush to her side "Nikki are you ok?" In between coughs she answered "I've been coughing all night and my throat is killing me" "I'll tell Davenport I'm staying home today to take care of you" she looks at me funny "go to school I'll be here when you get back" "you sure?" I say sitting by her "yeah I'll be fine" she said forcing a smile. I pull the covers over her shoulders as she lays down "go to sleep and when I get back we can do whatever you want" I say kissing her head. "Ok" she says as I leave "love you" I say poking my head through the door "love you too" she replies as I close the door.

As Leo,Bree,Adam,and I walked into school I was a little worried about Nikki being sick but Davenport assured Tasha would be taking care of her while he was at a meeting.

When we walked into the cafeteria to waist time and sat down we were stopped. We usually sat at the popular table because of Nikki but Clent from the football team had other things to say "what do you think your doing at our table?" I looked up "sitting" "well get up! Since your girlfriend isn't here your not welcomed" he came behind me and held my arms back. I blacked out

Bree's POV

Everything was going ok until Clent decided to pick a fight with Chase. And Spike came out. "Who do you think you are jock straps?" He said pinning Clents arms back "you heard me" Clent replied. Oh no "well listen to me good. Don't mess with me and my friends again!" Spike said lifting him up and throwing him on a table a few feet away. Clent got up "this isn't over!" Then scurried away.

Gosh! Spike sat down looking satisfied. But we got worried when he asked "where's Lola?" "Um..she's out of town for a while" I didn't want him to know she's at home sick he'd go for her. "Ok" he said oddly calm.

"Yeah" we said as we exchanged nervous looks

Everything went ok until lunch when Perry had a few choice words for Spike

"Hey! Tiny Tim! What do you think your doing to my football players?!" She said standing in front of Spike.

"I think I was doing your job" a round of "oohs" was heard "well nock it off! My team needs to be pumped for there game tomorrow!" Spike scoffs "please! They couldn't even win against Leo" "hey!" "No offense" Spike assures Leo "that sounds like a great idea! You and my football players tonight!" "Your on!" He said before we could stop him

"See you on the field after school" she said pushing his shoulder back as she storms out laughing

"Spike! We can't go against them we will loose!'' I say hitting his shoulder "no we won't you got me" he says with a cocky smile. Oh great

"Are you guys ready?" Spike said as we huddled together "I guess" I answer "I wish Lola could see this" Spike said smiling then going back to a straight serious face "ok guys break!" Leo said as we took position

After two minutes they already had a score "you guys don't know how to play football?" Leo asked. We all shrugged. Even Spike "just get the ball behind there line" oh ok. That seems easy!

It's not easy! It's now 12-0! We're losing! "C'mon Spike!" I say hitting his helmet. Suddenly it face softened "what? Where are we? Am I wearing a jockstrap?" Chase said wiggling his hips. "No we need Spike!" I say shaking him "Spike? What are we doing here?!" He asked looking at the mad football players "you through Clent on a table and challenged Perrie to a football match against the team"

Chase POV

I did what?!

Nikki isn't into violence unless absolutely needed if she found out she'd kill me!

"You didn't tell Nikki did you?" "Yeah he did" I turn slowly to see Nikki standing behind me with her arms crossed "Nikki! What are you doing here your sick!" "Tasha brought me to the doctor and I'm not sick I just had a scratchy throat and Adam texted me saying you wanted me here" I looked at him crazy "Spike said he wanted Lola here" Adam defended "how's the game going?" Nikki asked Leo "terrible were loosing! Now that we have Chase instead of Spike were going to defiantly loose!" "Hey!" "No offense" Leo assured me

She must be really mad.

She walked up to me and grabbed my helmet putting it on her head "I'm playing" she said getting into position "what? No you'll get hurt" "I'll be fine" she said. I shrugged and got in position beside her.

The whistle blew and Nikki was able to get past they guys easily and score touchdowns!

We weren't able to do that even with Spike!

"How'd you do that?" Leo asked shocked like we all were "I play with my aggressive cousins since I was 4. This is nothing plus they wouldn't tackle a girl" she shrugged. Smart, why I love her.

By the end we ended up winning thanks to Nikki

She went and grabbed my water and took a sip "are you mad?" She looked at me and smiled "no I'm not now that I know Spike did it. I'm just glad your not hurt" she says hugging me. It felt good not having her mad at me. I couldn't survive another silent treatment.

As we were walking home I got a text from an unknown number

'Im close'

That put a shiver up my spine

I swallowed and kept walking

"Are you ok?" Nikki asked

I had my arm around her, I have her a squeeze "yeah I'm fine" I reassured her as she smiled and put a kiss on my cheek. He better not touch her
