Chapter 39

Nikki's POV

I'm usually a very rational person. I can look past things, I looked pass Gwen kissing Chase (with her binders 'magically' diss appearing, destroying her good grades),Chase saying he should've got the update,not me. And I've over looked being turned bionic. Which wasn't easy but what was done was done so I got over it.

BUT that dog has chewed up half my closet, used my papers for school as chew toys, and has been waking me up at 4 in the morning on the dot with barking. This dog hates me and I'd love to introduce it to a little thing called electrocution by water but Chase would be devastated by his first invention being ruined so I kept my threats and actions to myself.

Right now I just woke up, surprisingly after being woken at 4 by the demon dog. I groaned and went out for breakfast. But before I did something cought my eye in the mirror. I looked terrible! Like I haven't slept in days. I haven't! I had circles under my eyes and my eyes are a light pink with a bit of hope while silently pleading me to go back to bed. I through my hair in a bun and headed out of the kitchen. I was greeted by Chase popping up in front of me as I rounded the corner. It made me jump as he smiled and greeted me with a kiss on the cheek "morning" he greets as usual. I put on a smile and greet back "morning". Chase face turned to concern as he studied me "Nikki, are you ok?" He asks putting his hand on my forehead "yeah I'm fine, just tired" I shrug. "Well, breakfast should make you feel better. Here you go" Tasha handed me a plate of eggs and a glass of orange juice. "Thanks" I smile and head to the table with Chase at my side when I feel myself fall back. Before I could process with my numbing tired state I feel my hair wet with orange juice and I'm covered in eggs. I feel like I wanna scream when I see Chester wagging his tail beside me. "Nikki are you ok? Chester was passing in front of you when you were walking" yeah, passing. Why could he accidentally get the juice spilt on him and not my hair? Wait, my hair! "No I'm not ok! My hair is soaked in orange juice!" I wipe the left over juice on my forehead "ugh I gotta get a shower" I say running off for the warmth of the shower. I swear I will end the dog.

Breed POV

"Nikki's not to fond of Chester" Ally points out "yeah" I agree. I stand up and walk over to Chase who looks worried by Nikki's sudden burst of anger "c'mon Chase, she's fine she just needs some time to cool down" I say not believing my words. Nikki would end the dog in a heart beat. I've seen evidence all this week. "It was just an accident. I don't think Nikki's fond of Chester much" Chase says looking at the dog. He thinks? "Well I'll talk to her and see what wrong ok?" "Thanks Bree" he says hugging me and running to the backyard with Chester.

Personally, I hated the dog too. He's knocked over my bottles of opened nail Polish, tore my scarves,and the times Chase sleeps in his capsule, never ending scratching at the giant glass tube. I don't blame Nikki. Chester was only loyal and kind to his master/creator.

Nikki's POV

The shower helped me cool down and stretch my tense muscles. But when I went to wash my hair, I felt searing pain on my arm. I looked to see something I've missed. My eyes got big as I saw it, teeth marks. I turned my arm and saw almost the same amount on the bottom. Chester was a robot, no teeth. Mobutu he doesn't have really pokey wires that act as teeth and they were the exact shape. Chester bit me. I gotta get rid of this dog. But Chase would be devastated. Ugh! Can't we like, ship him to a pound? Am I crazy? They don't take bionic dogs. I think they'll notice when they feel cold metal instead of soft fur when they pet him. Maybe they'll make an acceptance.

"Nikki, can we talk?" I hear in Brees voice. I turned off the shower, put my clothes on, and opened the door. "Sure" I say as we head to my room. We sat down on my bed "I know your not on good terms with Chester." "Good terms? When were we ever close?" I ask blankly "well the dogs a pain in my neck too" she says. I sigh "thank goodness. I'm not the only one" she giggles "I want the dog gone" i state. "Me too" she agrees "what if we accidentally pushed it in front as on coming car?" I suggested "Eddie would get footage and we will never hear the end" she says that's all so true. If only we could push Eddie in front an on coming car. "True" I nod. "What if we Chester ran away?" I suggested. Bree smiled "perfect!" "How would we do it?" I ask "well, he could accidentally be left outside. He's a robot but he's also half dog so he will get curious and venture" I nod my head and raise my hand and we high five. Finally I can sleep!

Chase POV

"Nikki do you know where Chester went?" I ask as I find Nikki on the couch reading a magazine. "Nope" she answers turning her magazine. I smirk and sit next to her "he was here an hour ago" I mention as she keeps her eyes on the paper in front her "well I'm not sure" she shrugs. I bring my finger to Nikki's chin "Nikki I know what you did" I chuckled and her eyes for big. "I don't know what your talking about" she says trying to look convincing but I know Nikki better then anyone and her eyes turn full dark blue when she's lying. "Eddie ratted you out" I say as she sighs "I'm gonna break the machine next" she says as I chuckle "Chase I'm so sorry. You loved Chester but I couldn't stand the dog. It hated everyone. It was terribley annoying" she apologizes,sorta. "Nikki it's ok. I knew what the dogs done" I admit. She raises an eyebrow "how?" I rub the back of my neck "I've known the whole week. The dog has a monitor and I went over the footage. I knew the whole time. That, and your sonic scream when the dog chewed your favorite shirt broke a glass in my hand" I admit as she looks mad. "And you didn't do anything?" She says annoyed "well, I knew it was annoying you-" "and you found it funny" she finishes. I shrug and she smiles "I'm gonna get you back for this. You know that?" She threatens and I chuckle and kiss her "ok. But I got footage of your little meltdown about your homework and that's way worth it" I say taking a head start as her jaw dropped. Knowing she would chase me.

But she had super speed so she got to me in seconds. I was on my back and she was hovered over me with a smile "your lucky I love you. Or else you would be the next to go" she finishes with kissing me. I bring my hands to her face and caress it. I'm glad she could take a joke or I knew she would go with the threat.
