Chapter 25 part 1

Bree's POV

Normal every other morning. This time I was spending it in the lab with Nikki and Chase. We were talking about school. Mostly it was them talking about there easy A's while the rest of us have to study. "The chemistry test was pretty easy I mean anyone can name every element on the pereodic table" Nikki says. "Yeah it was super easy" he says scoffing. My eyes got heavy from the school talk on the weekend and I was about to fall asleep until a giant flash nearly blinded us as we all used our hands to cover as Nikki hid her face in Chases chest. Suddenly it stopped "it worked! Davenport it worked!!" A man started yelling. He looked in his twenties,dark brown hair,semi tall and short he looked excited/shocked none of us really said anything we were too confused. Soon his eyes trailed to me "Bree!" He yelled running over and hugging me. Really tight I add. "I can't breathe" I said as he lets go. "Excuse me are you lost?" Nikki asks. He turns around and his expression was odd he looked at Nikki like she the worlds biggest diamond "Nikki!" He hugged her,picking her up,and spinning her "I've missed you so much! You have no idea how happy I am to see you again!" He said with his grin never leaving. Nikki looked like she didn't know how to respond "hey dude hands off" Chase said taking Nikki from the guy. "Little Chase,don't worry you'll grow at least a little in two years" he says looking at Chase who looked confused "I'm sorry who are you?" I asked "I'm Chase! I'm from the future! I came here on Davenports invention and it worked thankfully!" Did he just say that he was Chase from the future? "No way your me. If you are tell me stuff only I would know" he says crossing his arms. He thought for a minute then snapped his fingers "Nikki's favorite movie is Mean Girls,her favorite candy is Sour Patch Kids,and we bought both of them when we accidentally turned her hair blue" I wasn't sure if that was correct but Chase and Nikki looked shocked. "Now that that's out the way Chase I've got to talk to you alone" he says as Chase nods and they walk into the other room

Chase POV

"What's wrong? Hey how come you didn't bring Nikki? How does she look when she's older? I bet she's still beautiful,please tell me she isn't taller then me. What about-" "dead" he cut me off saying. "What? What do you mean?" I asked "dead she died during a mission. She was in an accident with a broken capsule. It sucked the oxygen out her capsule and she died" I could feel tears coming to the side of my eyes as my mouth hung open "are you serious?" I said shocked at what I just heard "sadly,that's the reason I didn't bring her back. Bree didnt make it back either. We lost them both" I felt my heart break "I couldn't believe how I would react to that" my Nikki dead? It made me wanna bust out in tears just thinking of it. I couldn't believe loosing Bree too. "Sad,alone,not caring enough to go to school or barely come out the house. I practically cried every day with her being on my mind. I was too messed up to even go to her funeral" I felt tears leave the brim of my eyes "why are you here to tell me this?" I asked with my voice cracking "because Chase,you can fix it" he signaled for me to come closer and listen in which I did so "tonight Davenports going to help Bree and Nikki train for cold climates in the capsules. Something will go wrong and the capsule will suck out all the oxygen. If you can be there and keep her from getting in or it happening then they'll live" "where were you when this happened?" I asked. He sighed and stared at the wall for a moment before taking a box out his pocket. He handed it to me "getting her this" I opened it to see its a heart shaped locket that was engraved with the words 'I'll love you forever ~Chase' so I was getting her a gift to show how much I love her the day I loose her? That would have killed me "I lost Nikki when I was 16. I'm now 32 and think about it everyday. Hearing her voice,remembering the good times,all the memories,I came back to make sure we get her back" he said with a smile. "I promise" I say as he nods. "Lets get back out there probably wondering" he says as I nod. We come back "hey how was it?" Bree asked "good I gotta talk to davenport but were fine" I say pulling off a fake smile "that's good. It's nice seeing you all groan up Chase" Nikki says looking at future me "it's nice seeing you too" he says with a smile. I'd be jealous if we didn't just have a conversation taking up all my concerns. "Tell me,how do I look in the future? Did we ever have kids?" She asked. How was he suppose to answer that? He can't just tell her straight up, your dead. It would terrify. I was about to jump in and answer when he did instead "your still beautiful,we have 2 kids. They look more like you which is good" he says. Obviously it was a lie,but only I knew that. Nikki comes by my side and clutches my arm "sounds exciting" she says sweetly. I give her a peck on her lips enjoying being with her,having her,and stopping at nothing to make sure I keep her.

"Well I gotta speak to Daventport I'll be back" I say hugging Nikki. But keeping it long,enjoying the moment of her being here. "Ok I'll be here working on some things" she says pecking my lips. "Ok love you" I say as she smiled "I love you too" I see future me smile widely hearing it. I let go and head up with him "I'm gonna get her back for us" I say truthfully "I know I'm just....speechless. I mean I'm getting back the love of my life. It's something I've been waiting for,for a really long time" he says as I pay his shoulder and nod.

Nikki's POV

At least future Chase still was sweet and handsome. We have kids and I still look good and I have chase. All I needed to know. I sit by the control panel. Bree left for the bathroom. So I decided to practice my knowledge of the equitment. I was training to go through temperatures later so I thought I'd look over the capsule system. Hm temperature control,check. Emergency door accessible,check. What does O filled mean? O? Is that an expression from something? I click it to it giving another letter Ox. Isn't that an animal. I don't think we will need that. So I turn it off. "Nikki come here for a moment!" Bree calls. I close out the system and answer "coming!" And I leave. Good thing I looked things over. Maybe something would've gone wrong if I didn't.

Davenports POV

The girls die do to a equitment malfunction? This can't happen! I'll Br there when its tested. Make sure the emergency door is good,climate under control,and oxygen is being let into the capsule. I can't let that happen to them. What I'm wondering is what could've made that happen? The system as always worked. What made it suck out all the oxygen in the capsule? I'll have to have Eddie look it over. I gotta make sure the training is good,up,and running perfectly. I can't and won't let the girls die. Everything will move smoothly. I hope

Hey! Sorry it was so long for me to update! Writers block. I would really love suggestions to help get the ole wheels a turning. I'm country sorry. But anyway.

Nikki and Bree die? How? Maybe Ox when Nikki was fooling with it stood for Oxygen. So it was Nikki that turned it off? Do they make it? Or is it the end for Nikki and Bree? I'll update tomorrow! Promise
