Chapter 9

Nikki's POV

When I got back from the bathroom something wasn't right. I could feel it.

I opened the door to see Chase out of bed.

I walk over to him "lay back down. Doctors orders" I say acting like a mother.

"He said the same to you too you know" he said walking into bed.

"Yeah" I say sitting next to him.

I look around for my phone. I wanted to listen to music. It helped me drift off to sleep.

I look on the table where I had put it but it wasn't there?

"Chase have you seen my phone?" I say looking around "uh um no I haven't seen it" he said nervousness in his voice.

"O-k" I say a little suspicious.

"Can I use your phone?" "Sure" he said handing it to me.

"Thanks" I dialed Lauren's number.

She was my best friend. Other then Bree. Bree was friends with her. We would all hang out. She was on vaca during the whole mess.

But she would be arriving home today. I missed her like crazy. She doesn't know about my bionics. I want to tell her and I will soon.

I wanted to invite her over. I missed talking to her I had to explain me and Chase were back together because last time we talked I told her about the break up and she was mad.

L: Hey Nikki! I'm back! Where are you your not at your house

N: I'm at the Davenports house.

L: What?! Why?! Don't worry I'm on my way over to kick Chases butt if I get there and your hurt. He's going down. Bye

N: Wait Lau-

Too late she hung up.

Tasha has met Lauren but Mr.Daventport or Adam has.

I turned to Chase looking worried

"What?" He said looking concerned

"Your about to get your butt kicked so I suggest you brace yourself" "what? What do you mean?" "Well do you remember Lauren?" "Yeah" "well I told her about the break up. She just got back she's on her way over. She may hurt you so don't look like your doing anything wrong" "ok?" He says a little confused.

"Does she not like me?" "It's not that it's that she thinks were still broken up and I'm still mad. And she's way more mad then me. She's like a sister" "well will she get mad if she comes in on you laughing?" "What do you mea-" soon he tickles me.

He hovered over me. His fingers on my aides tickling my rib cage.

I was laughing "st-stop! Chase I can't breathe!" I could feel the tears in my eyes from laughing.

"Nope this is what you get" "Cha-Chase. Please! I'm crying!" Soon I hear the door fly open.

I saw Lauren. Looking furious.

"Run" I said to Chase he got off the bed against the far wall.

I went behind Lauren stopping her. "Lauren don't do anything you'll regret" "oh believe me I won't regret this" she said cracking her knuckes. I used my super strength to hold her back. Thank fully it works. "Lauren me and Chase are back together he wasn't hurting me I promise.

She suddenly relaxed "good" she said I let her go as she calmly walked by Chase. I walked over to make sure she was doing anything. Chase looked scared.
