Chapter 18

Chase POV

Adam and I just got back from getting the girls something to eat when they are giving each other the evil eye

"Hey Nikki what's happening?" I ask sitting next to Nikki as Adam did the same to Lauren

"What's happening' is Lauren here thinks she's gonna win!" I decide not to answer I don't want to be in the middle of this. Even though I think the same. "And Ms.Perfect here thinks she's gonna win because she's the best when really she will only get votes because she's pretty!" Uh oh "they will not! But it's better because at least I'll get votes!" Lauren had on a offended look. This shouldn't happen there best friends "c'mon guys were all friends here. Nikki,Lauren you two are best friends" Adam tries "EX best friends! C'mon Chase lets go plan my win somewhere else" Nikki says getting up and walking to another table. I grab her food and follow her.

What happened? They were so fun about the pageant, now there after each other. I geuss this is for the best I mean now Nikki has her game face on.

I took a seat by Nikki setting down the tray "what happened over there?" I asked. She had a straight face with her arms crossed, she turned to look at me"nothing we just realized that we can't be best friends anymore" I bet this will be over by tomorrow. For now I will go along with it. Nikki's smart she can figure this out.

Nikki's POV

We've got the guys around our with this plan

Me and Lauren agreed to act like we hate each other until after the pageants over.

We also decided to act like this on stage. We'd never win and plus that means both boys have to pay the price of the stupid bet

Chase POV

After I treated Nikki to a little more shopping to try and calm her down we left back to Davenports

Arriving there Nikki went straight to the guest room I followed her of course.

"Are you that mad at Lauren" she looked at me like I was crazy "yes! It's not like you and Adam care anyway" she says sitting on her bed and went on her phone. I say by her and wrapped her in my arms but she wouldn't budge from her straight face and position. I haven't seen her this mad since we broke up.

"I do care" I said kissing her cheek

"Ok whatever. I can't believe she said people would vote for me just because I'm pretty" she said sighing. Isn't that the point in a beauty pageant? To win because your pretty? "I bet there interested in what you have to say" I say bringing her to my chest. She looked up at me "can we go watch something in the living room?" She asked calm "sure" I say kissing her head as she smiles. We get up off the bed and head to the living room

Lauren's POV

Plan working like a charm

Adam keeps trying to cheer me up

While we were walking to his house Nikki and I were texting. I sent her a quick text

About to arrive at Davenports

Nikki:

Heading to the living room now

When we got to the door I stopped with a stern look with my arms still crossed

"What if Nikki's in there?" I say mad. "Then ignore her. You've got to keep all your energy up for the pageant tomorrow" I scoff "fine" this will be good

When we walk in Nikki and Chase are cuddled on the couch

"What is she doing here?!" Nikki says jolting up
