"if you drop me, i swear i'll be so dun with you."

josh rolls his eyes at his mia's lame pun and continues walking down the sidewalk of the stretch of shops and restaurants. "i'm not gonna drop you, you loser."

mia hums under her breath in response and shakes her head slowly. "mhm, yeah, whatever," she grins and kisses his cheek. "you say that now, but when i fall and land in the snow-"

"what was that? you want me to drop you?" asks josh sarcastically, letting his hands slide out from where they're underneath mia's thighs so that she slips down on his back. at the last second he catches her, though, and then jumps a bit so she's higher up on his back again.

mia tsks loudly and smacks his shoulder, "not funny," she tells him after wrapping her legs around his waist.

the amused boy looks back at her with a cheeky grin. "kinda funny."

"just shut up and walk," she laughs rests her head on his shoulder. when they get back to the bus it's about ten minutes till bus call and everyone is accounted for.

josh helps mia get situated in the bunk underneath his, which is usually occupied by random stuff and gifts from fans. he's sitting criss cross on the floor while she fixes the throw blanket and puts in her phone charger and laptop.

"you're not claustrophobic or anything, right?" he asks as he suddenly wonders if she'll be okay sleeping in one of the bunks. they're not terribly small, but still.

she glances over at him and shakes her head. "nope, no small space issues."

"alright, so it's just daddy issues, then?"

"fuck off about that," mia grins in spite of herself and smacks his arm. "fuck all the way off."

josh laughs at her reaction because it's so easy to get one out of her. "i'm kidding," he insists and leans into her side. his arms wrap around her torso and he sets his chin against her shoulder.

she exhales gently and for a moment just enjoys the feeling of having josh close to her, if not having to see him only through a screen.

tyler and jenna walk out of the back lounge trying to look innocent even though everyone on the bus knows what they were doing.

"there's chairs, y'know," says tyler as he dramatically walks around josh and mia, making sure that he acts like it's impossible to get through since they're sitting on the floor of the small walk through.

josh scoffs a bit, picking his head up to glance at the brunette. "yeah and because of you two, the couch in the back lounge is no longer an option."

mia looks at the blushing couple and pretends to do a rimshot, her hands moving like they're hitting the pattern on the drums when someone tells a joke. "buh-dum-tsssss."

"whatever," laughs tyler, his hand pulling jenna along to the front of the bus.

mia turns her head and looks back at josh with a grin. "that was a sick joke, i'm impressed."

"considering the fact that you're the one that makes puns out of my name, i'm not entirely sure i can consider that an actual compliment," he says back.
