June 9, 2044
Jade woke up early and readied herself, she'll be meeting Sally today. She doesn't want to look at Althea nor talk to her. Last night her wife broke her heart and she was so upset. She loves her wife so much but the latter did a terrible mistake by not remembering their most important day. She prepared her dinner and asked their son to spend the night with them but Althea only ruined it. She wasn't expecting to receive a costly gift from her, she just wanted Althea to spend more time with her and their children, time which the lawyer's work took away from them. Don't get her wrong, she was so proud of Althea's success but she was unhappy because they were losing her wife and that's the last thing she wanted to happen. How she misses her wife so bad and she wants her back.
She was busy preparing breakfast when a hand covered her eyes, it was Miguel. He just came from his morning jog. "Good morning, Miggy." Jade smiled remembering how her son hated to be called that.
"Ma.." Miguel frowned as he picked a strip of bacon. "I'm already 25 and I don't think that name still suits me. Continue calling me that and I won't talk to you as long as I can." Miguel threatened with his dimpled smile.
"Oh, I'm just teasing you honey." Jade laughed. "But you'll always be my Miggy boy." she added with a wink.
"You're just thankful cause you know how much I love you that I can't do what I just told you, huh." Miguel said. "By the way Ma, tell me what happened last night. What did Mom gave you? I know she's fond of giving you surprises." he added excitedly but stopped when he saw his mother's smile died.
"Surprisingly, she forgot our day." Jade smiled sadly at her son. "Maybe she was just too busy to even remember it. Let's just understand her 'Kay?"
"But Ma, that's unacceptable. How can she do that, she's unbelievable." Miguel can't hide his disappointment now.
"Hey Miggs she's still your mom don't hate her. What she did doesn't make me love her less." Jade explained and her son just hugged her tight. He loves his mama so much that he doesn't want seeing her sad. And his mom Althea is the last person he thinks who'll do that.
After preparing her family's breakfast Jade then drove to her best friend Sally's place. She needed her so bad that time. Sally was surprised to see her early in the morning but was more surprised when Jade suddenly hugged her tight and cried on her shoulders. "Jade, what happened?" Sally asked worried. "What's wrong?" she tried to comfort her.
"Al-thea." Jade answered. "I really lost her." she added between sobs.
"What?! Althea died?" Sally exaggerated. "Oh Jadey, I'm sorry."
"Sally, you don't get me." Jade now facing Sally still crying. "Althea, she forgot our anniversary yesterday. Said she was too busy that it slipped her mind."
"Oh my God, that's unbelievable." sally can't find the words to say.
"Her work really took her away from us." Jade sighed.

January 21, 2045
It's a gloomy birthday for Althea. Again she woke up without Jade beside her so she just decided to prepare herself for work. She just received a message from Jasmine greeting her happy birthday and that she loves her so much. She smiled with her princess' sweet gesture. Miguel sent her message too, but only a simple birthday greeting. She's waiting for her wife to greet her but she received nothing.
Althea's sitting by her office facing a blank document when her door suddenly opened and showed her best friends singing a birthday song for her. Batchi holding a battle of wine and Wila a cake with its candles telling Thea's age, 57.
