Althea stands alone at their verandah, her wife is sleeping peacefully after they made love and she didn't stir when Althea slipped out of bed. It is midnight and above her the stars are like specks of silver paint on a black canvas. She can see Orion and Ursa Major and Cassiopeia, and looking at them makes her think of the past as well.
She was never a sentimental kind and most of her life was spent preparing position papers and petitions for her clients who's asking her legal services. But tonight she can't help but remember the most special day of her life 30 years ago, her wedding day. Looking back, she believes that if she has done one thing right, it has been to love her wife all their years together. But there are times when she thinks that her wife didn't feel the same way about her anymore.
All marriages has their ups and Downs and she believes it's just natural for all couples. They've moved places a lot of times and though successful with her profession, lots of sacrifices are made to secure it. They've got two children and though they've gone through rough times when their kids are growing up,they won't trade their parenthood for all the riches in the world.
Sometimes she wonders what would have happened if she married someone else, but in all the years she spent together with Jade, she never once regretted the fact that she has chosen her wife.
But only one mistake, one terrible mistake that she's done and those beautiful things they had together were all gone. And it's too late to feel sorry now. And she sadly tilted her head as she realized that she wasn't quite sure if her wife still loves her.
After that thought, an idea suddenly popped her head: she had to court her wife again.
11:30 am
Althea decided not to report for office that day because they need to talk with their daughter about her sudden decision of marrying her boyfriend. And after a long argument, Jade and Althea finally gave in thinking that their princess has really grown.
They're talking about it during their lunch and Jade decided that she'll be the one to help Jasmine in her preparation, while Althea and Miguel just looked at each other and smiled for Jade's sudden change of emotions.
"By the way mom," Jas said. "There's one more thing, we wanted to marry on your anniversary." Jasmine added hesitantly.
"What?" Jade asked. "But isn't that too early? We need more time for the preparations."
"Mom, we wanted an intimate wedding and I don't want an extravagant one." Jasmine smiled. "Ram and I think that it would be great to honor the two of you. For everything you've done for each other and for me and kuya Miggs. And it seems like the best way." Their daughter explained. "So please mom." She looked at Althea with pouted lips as to ask for back up.
"Alright honey, we'll find a way then." Althea smiled and Jade just rolled her eyes.

On the first months of the preparation Jade was so excited doing it. She never complained about being tired of the things she and Jasmine do everyday, she just wanted everything to be perfect for her princess' big day.
It was a Saturday and Althea was left alone in their house for Jade was out with Jasmine again to visit the bakery and the photographer. So she just decided to pull some weeds in their garden and do some groceries. And at 5 in the afternoon she found herself preparing dinner for her and Jade.
She just finished preparing their table when Jade come in the front door.
"Hello?" Jade called out
