-Brianna's POV-

4 Days Until Gig

"So, what's your idea for this song because you obviously have one," Luke stated as he sat down and our writing session began.

"Well, my dad has never been big on music, specifically the kind that we like. So I was thinking we focus more on the meaning of the song rather than just making it fun to dance and sing along to," I explained.

"What meaning though? There's countless things we could write about! What would mean a lot to your dad? Because I'm not sure I can write some daddy song," Luke pointed out.

I made a disgusted look at the thought of Luke's words, shaking my head. "No! I was thinking of something touching and close to his heart that could also relate to us in a way. A love song."

"You're writing a love song to your dad?" Luke raised an eyebrow.

"Okay, you are just saying nasty things today," I chuckled, rolling my eyes. "I meant with him and my mom. If he can see how good we are together with this song, and maybe even see how it relates to us as well then he might let us date!" Luke furrowed his eyebrows, confused on what exactly I was saying. "We'll write a song about missing someone," I summed it up simply.

Luke nodded. "Okay. Got your guitar?"

I picked it up from the side of my bed and smiled. "Always. You wanna play some chords?"

"Always," Luke mocked me, chuckling as he took the guitar fro me. I rolled my eyes but didn't comment about it. Luke strummed a few notes, trying to find a tune. "Lyric ideas?"

I nodded, looking down at my hands that rested in my crossed legs. Luke and I were sat comfortably on my bed like how we usually were when we wrote songs. I noticed Luke found a tune and I started to hum to it, thinking of words to match. I thought of my mother and spoke. "Heaven is a place on earth...wish I could rewind..." I trailed off, getting ideas. I looked up at Luke who was starting at me as he strummed. I got words matched up in my head and started to sing a little. "Wait, don't tell me. Heaven is a place on earth. I wish I could rewind all the times that I didn't show you...show you...show you what you're really worth..." I stopped.

Luke stopped his strumming, smiling at me. "How did you think of all that on the spot?" he asked me, impressed.

I shrugged, honestly not sure. "I was thinking about my mother and kind of how I felt, but then I looked at you and it reminded me how I might lose you too," I tried explaining.

We both stared at each other for a minute, getting caught up before Luke shook his head and looked back down at the guitar. "This is why I love working with you, and just being with you in general," he said, strumming once. I smiled, blushing a little. Luke started strumming the same tune and sang, "the way, you held me, I wish that I had put you first."

He stopped, not knowing what to sing next. "I was wrong I admit..." I continued, trying to finish his thoughts. "Numb from your kiss..."

"While you were slipping through my fingertips," he finished, then stopped playing. "I think I know where this whole song is going."

I nodded. "Yeah, it's not a happy song," I chuckled, looking down again. "It's pretty sad."

"Some of the best songs are," Luke pointed out. I looked back up at him with a soft smile, leaning over and pecking a small kiss on his cheek. He gave me a confused look. "Not that I'm against it, by what was that for?" he questioned.

I shrugged. "I just like when you're positive. Especially with the way things are, it's nice."

"It's because of you. You think I just became optimistic over night?" he raised an eyebrow. "You gave me hope, a meaning to life...you made me happy again."

"You changed me too. I mean, you're the reason I'm going for my dream instead of my father's," I replied.

"You're really sticking with it? No backing down?"

I shook my head, proud. "No backing down. It's my life, I choose what I get to do and who gets to be in it. That's why we're here, working to fight for each other. That's another thing you taught me. Fight for what you love."

"People change people," Luke stated, making me grin.

I stared at Luke, suddenly getting a feeling of sadness and fear that this could all end and be taken away from me soon. But we'll fight as much as we can, and if all goes wrong...if all goes wrong then I might just have to leave. Not alone of course, but things still had a chance at working out.

Sorry this chapter is kind of short, but lately I've been getting a lot of views and I'm not sure why but I'm so thankful! I wanna know your thoughts about the ending of this chapter and I'm also curious about if you guys are interested in a chapter with more Michael and Sophie, maybe like another potential bonus chapter at some point. I'll post another chapter tomorrow since this was a bonus.

Luv ya!
