-Brianna's POV-
I woke up on Monday feeling anxious about Luke and I, and how everything was going to be. How we would act, how everyone would react, and if everything would be okay. I haven't spoke to Mikey yet, but I feel I just need space from him and give him time to realize Luke and I weren't so bad together. Because of that, Luke picked me up to drive me to school today. I guess that helps what we're trying to prove; that we're a good couple.
I climbed into Luke's car, having the same feeling as the first day of school. Luke looked over at me and smiled, leaning over and pecking my lips. I smiled back and buckled up, Luke starting to drive.
"So, are we ready for today?" Luke asked as he drove.
I let out a breath and nodded. "Yeah...yeah I think so," I said not-so confidently. Although, I guess I'm never really confident.
"You don't sound too sure," Luke joked, already knowing I was nervous.
"What, like you're ready?" I questioned, looking over at him. He didn't respond, and I scoffed. "You, Luke Robert Hemmings, are not ready! You can't be!" I exclaimed.
"I knew doing a project where you got to know everything about me would backfire," he groaned at the use of his full name. I chuckled, knowing from the day he told me his middle name that I would use it to my advantage.
"There's no way you're completely, 100% ready," I went back to our original subject.
Luke shrugged. "I guess I'm more excited."
"About what?"
"That I get to show off that you're mine," he answered, making me sit back in my seat and blush. Luke looked down at me and smiled before looking back at the road. It was one of the only times I saw him give a real, toothy smile, and I like it.
"I guess I just haven't had good reactions from the people who have confronted me," I sat back up.
"Well if anyone messes with you, I'll make sure they don't ever again," Luke assured, making me roll my eyes.
"Violence doesn't solve everything, Luke."
"Who said I would result to violence? Maybe I would just give them a stern talking to!" Luke defended himself. I just raised an eyebrow at him, not believing it for a second. "Okay, a very stern, with a touch of threatening, talking to," he changed his answer. I took that answer, finding it more realistic. "But I really wouldn't beat them up, you know I don't want to upset you," he added.
I smiled at him. "Good, it's better for both of us if you avoid fights."
