-Brianna's POV-
With my brother's outburst earlier at school, everyone knew about me and Luke. Throughout the day, people would stare at me, I would hear whispers about me, and everyone just seemed...shocked. I guess I can't blame them, we look like quite the couple: the bad boy and the good girl.
"So, how did you do it?" I stopped walking in the hall as the familiar voice I fear yet despise at the same time spoke up from behind me. Should I ignore her? No, she knows I heard her, I just stopped in the middle of the hall! What is she even talking about?
I slowly turned around, finding her closer than I expected. "Uh...what?"
"You know what I'm talking about! Luke!" Brook replied.
I gulped, looking around and wondering how people hadn't noticed yet, but I guess it's better that way. "What about him?" I tried to stay calm and collected. I guess I'm good at pretending to be.
"You know, get him to be your boy toy?" she asked so casually, like it wasn't an insult to both me and Luke.
"Luke is not my boy toy!" I defended us both, feeling a fire in myself.
"Whatever you want to call it, it isn't real! It's not love, and it's not a real relationship!" she challenged.
I stared at her, but kept my anger down. She's just trying to fuel the fire. "I don't think you're one to talk about a real relationship," I told her before walking away to my class.
"Wait, Brianna!" Brook called, following me. "I actually want to talk to you, or warn you," she caught up with me and walked with me to my class.
"I don't need you warning me about anything," I told her, trying to ignore her now.
"But Luke isn't one to date, just mess around. And I know I'm not exactly nice to you, but I don't want to see Luke hurt a naive little girl like you," she explained.
I stopped now and turned towards her. "Is that what you think I am? A naive little girl?" I asked her. Brook just shrugged, not seeing it as an insult. But, I guess she is right. I'm inexperienced, innocent, especially compared to Luke. "You know what, I guess I am naive, but Luke is changing! He actually wants a real relationship now, and I'm sorry if you can't stand that or believe it. But it's true." With that, I finally walked away.
At the end of the day, I met up with Luke again in English. I wanted to work since our assignment was due next week, but he seemed a bit distant. Maybe it was all the attention we were getting from the shocked people around the school. Both of us wanted to keep our relationship hidden for a bit, but we weren't getting that.
We walked to my locker after school so I could get my things like I usually do. I was planning on talking to Luke about what happened in the office and if he spoke to Mikey, but I wasn't sure when. They were supposed to have band practice tonight, but I'm not sure that's happening now.
