~Epilogue~
-Brianna's POV-
"You did it!" with open arms as Luke walked over to me. I smiled, hugging him as happiness filled me. I giggled as he swung me a bit before pecking my lips. "No repeating senior year!" I exclaimed for him as we pulled away.
"The first and only in the band," he stated proudly. It made me happy how proud he was of himself for graduating. "But you're the one actually going to college Ms. University of Sydney."
My cheeks heated up, but I was happy. I got accepted and all I had to do was get through my own senior year. I was actually going to study what I wanted to: English. Specifically creative writing. "You're actually going on tour," I reminded him. The boys recently got signed onto a label and were going to tour with One Direction.
"And I'll make sure to call you every night," he said, pulling me in again.
"Good, because I don't know we're going to do," I sighed, staying in his arms.
"We'll get through it. If we can stay together when we weren't allowed, we can stay together even we're apart," Luke assured, kissing the top of my head. "Me and Michael can help each other, and you and Sophie can help each other."
"Maybe even Calum and Ally," I added.
Luke moved back so we were no longer embracing. "Calum and Ally?" he questioned. I nodded my head towards Calum and Ally who were nearby. We both watched as the two smiled and spoke to each other. Calum said something that made Ally blush and I couldn't help but smile. "Who knew?" Luke chuckled.
"Brianna!" I recognized my dad's voice from behind me. Both Luke and I turned around to see my dad walking over followed by Mikey and Sophie. "I need a picture of you and Michael."
I rolled my eyes but smiled and walked towards Mikey. You could tell my dad was happy that Mikey had finally graduated. Mikey wrapped his arm me and we both smiled. "You finally graduated, Mikey," I said through my smile.
"Thank God, I can get out of this hellhole," he said jokingly, although he was probably serious as well.
My dad snapped a few pictures with the help of Sophie and I stepped back. I glanced back at Luke who watched. I looked back at my dad who was now taking pictures of Mikey and Sophie. "Hey dad, can you take a picture of me and Luke?" I called.
My dad looked at Luke and slowly nodded. I motioned for Luke to come over, making him furrow his eyebrows. I wrapped an arm around him and he did the same. "Smile!" I told him, pointing to my dad. A picture was taken and I turned back to Luke.
"What was that for?" he asked me.
"To remember the day!" I stated the obvious. Luke raised an eyebrow though, knowing there was more. "And...I want to frame it. I want a physical picture rather than just digital. It means more," I explained.
Luke chuckled. "Of course you do," he shook his head, finding it funny. "I want a copy before I leave though," he added.
"Of course," I agreed. We need everything we can to help us once we're separated. "And we'll take another next year once I graduate."
"Deal," Luke agreed, kissing me. Every kiss seemed to mean more now that he was leaving in a few days.
Today was the day. We were at the airport, doing what we had dreaded. I had already said goodbye to Mikey, Ashton, and Calum. Now there was just Luke.
We stood there, just staring at each other. Neither of us was sure what to do, neither of us wanted to say goodbye. So we stood in silence.
I broke our eye contact and looked down. "You know we have to do it," I stated.
Luke sighed. "I know. Doesn't mean I want to."
I grinned, looking at Luke with teary eyes. "I'm going to miss you...you promise you'll call?"
"Of course," Luke promised, pulling me into a hug. I took a deep breath, a tear escaping and rolling down my cheek. Luke squeezed me tight before pulling away.
I sniffed and wiped my eyes, trying to get a hold of myself. i took a deep breath before continuing. I looked down as I grabbed something out of my pocket and handed it to Luke. Luke furrowed his eyebrows as he took and looked at it. I watched as a smile formed.
"It's the picture from graduation," he said softly.
I nodded. "I told you I'd get you a copy," I reminded him. "I framed mine and put it beside my bed. You can what you want with yours."
"Thanks...that reminds me..." Luke trailed off as he pulled something out of his own pocket. He handed me folded papers to me and I grew confused.
I opened the papers that were a bit crumpled and saw words filling the pages. Familiar words. My eyes moved to the top of the page where there was a title. "Amnesia".
"The first song we wrote together..." I trailed off, my voice shaky. I looked up at him, my vision blurry. "You kept these?" my voice cracked. I thought he would've gotten rid of them once he memorized it, or lost it.
"That's when it all started, how could I not?" Luke questioned.
I hugged Luke again, hearing the speakers announce his flight would be leaving. Luke took the last of our time to passionately kiss me, like it would be our last. I hoped it wasn't, I knew it wasn't.
Luke back away, following the band and everyone else on his flight. He gave a wave as I gripped onto the papers. When I couldn't see him anymore, I read through the papers and grinned with a tear rolling down my cheek. This wasn't the end.
