-Brianna's POV-

The next day I had made plans with Drew to just meet up at the cafe.  I didn't have too much time since Mikey and I needed to go grocery shopping.  He doesn't let me use his car so I can't go alone, but last time I let him go alone he ended up buying loads of junk food and nothing we actually needed.  So now we go together.

As I sat and waited for Drew, I found myself thinking a lot about yesterday.  About Luke, his mood swings, my guitar, writing...maybe I could start playing the guitar again.  When I was writing music with Luke it felt great to go back to that.

"Hey, sorry I'm late!"  I looked up and saw Drew smiling at me.

I returned the smile.  "Don't worry!  I hope you don't mind that I already got a drink," I said, holding up my tea.  I wasn't a big fan of coffee.

He shook his head.  "No, not at all!  Do you want me to get you anything else?  Food?  more tea?" he offered, pointing back to the counter.

"No, I'm good.  Thanks," I said.  Drew nodded and sat down across from me.

We went on like usual, just talking about anything that came to mind.  I of course didn't talk about Luke, our project, or music.  I didn't really feel like I could talk to Drew about that stuff, I could barely talk about it to Ally and Sophie.

After around an hour, my phone buzzed.  I sighed, seeing it was a text from Mikey saying he was waiting outside.  I put my phone away and looked up at Drew.

"I have to go now, my brother is here to pick me up," I told him, standing up.

"Oh, that's okay.  We have been talking for quite a while," Drew stood up as well.  "I'll walk out with you."

We both walked outside, my brother's car in view.  I turned to Drew.  "Thanks for today, I like doing this kind of stuff."

"Me too, same time next week?"

"Ye...actually, no.  I can't.  I ave plans next weekend," I sighed, remembering next week I was meeting up with Luke on both Saturday and Sunday.  Luke said he had plans today, though I wasn't sure if it was true or he just didn't want to meet up again.

        "That's okay, I think I'm free Wednesday."

I nodded, smiling.  "That works, as long as I have time to get my homework done."

Drew chuckled.  "That's cute."  He then stared at me and slowly started to lean in.  This was it.  My chance to make up for last time, and I was ready.  I did everything Luke told me, slowly leaning in as my eyes closed, placing my hands on his shoulders as Drew grabbed my waist.  Our lips finally touched for a few seconds before pulling away.  "Will you be my girlfriend, Brianna?" he asked after.

I nodded, giving a small smile.  "Yeah," I replied, a bit surprised he had asked.  My first boyfriend.  The sound of a honk made me jump and I remembered Mikey was waiting.  "Bye," I said quickly before jogging over to the car and climbing in.

I sat in the car and buckled up, remaining silent as Mikey started to drive.  That kiss was...not what I expected.  It was so different from Luke's.  With Drew, it was short, sweet, and over.  With Luke, it was passionate, warm, and savoring.  I felt warm on the inside, like fireworks were going off and butterflies roamed my stomach, and tingly on my lips even after it was over.  But with Drew, I didn't feel a thing!  Did I do something wrong?  It came so naturally with Luke, so what happened with Drew?  Why didn't I feel the same?
