(Shawn's Point of View)

"Daddy, wake up." I heard the voice of my four year old daughter Olivia whisper against my ear. She began to shake my shoulder, causing me to stir. I groaned, wanting to fall back asleep.
"Daddy." She whispered, annoyance evident in her voice. With a tremendous amount of effort I lifted my head from my pillow and turned my head to look at my daughter. She was blurry at first but after blinking a few times she became clearer. She stood next to the nightstand, standing there in her princess nightgown.
"Hey, Princess." I said, my voice hoarse as it always was after just waking up. A big smile formed on her face, seeing as I was now awake. In one swift motion she jumped up onto the bed and plopped herself down on my back. I grunted at the sudden weight falling on me.
"Get out of bed." She said, poking my back with her tiny fingers.

I rubbed my eyes with the palms of my hands before looking at the time on the alarm clock. It was 7:45 am. Just thinking about how early I had been waken up on a Saturday after going to bed late last night made me want to go back to sleep, but I knew that my daughter wasn't going to let that happen on her watch.
"Mommy!" She squealed, just about to jump off of my back to wake up Y/N.
"Shh." I said, extending my arm out to keep her from Y/N. Y/N stirred in her sleep.
"Let Mommy sleep. It's still early." I whispered, looking over at my wife as she peacefully slept.
"Awe, but I wanted pancakes!" Olivia whispered before making a pouting face.
"Daddy will make you pancakes." I said, getting her off of my back.

"With the smiley faces? Mommy makes them with smiley faces." She said, making her way to the door. I slowly got up from the bed, trying my best to not wake up Y/N.
"They will have smiley faces." I replied.
I walked over to the dresser where I grabbed a simple t-shirt and pulled it over my head. I then went over to Y/N's side of the bed and stared at her. She was still fast asleep. A smile tugged at the corners of my lips. I leaned down towards her face and placed a kiss on her cheek.
"Daddy, come on!" Olivia whispered, peeking her head through the door. I quietly chuckled to myself before making my way to my impatient daughter.

"Where's the smiley face?" Olivia asked, pointing at the pancake I had put on her plate. She sat at the kitchen island, swaying side to side on the spinning chair she sat on.
"It's right there." I said, pointing to the chocolate chips in the pancake. She stopped moving from side to side and looked up at me, slight confusion written on her face.
"And those are the eyes, and that is the nose." I said, pointing to the pieces of chocolate. She looked down at the pancake before looking back up at me.
"Mommy doesn't make smiley faces with a nose." She replied. I couldn't help but chuckle and that made her giggle.
"Well Daddy does." I said, placing a kiss on the top of her head.

After breakfast, Olivia and I went to the living room to watch some cartoons. I sat on the couch and she sat on my lap. Olivia couldn't stop giggling at the cartoon that played on the television. Every time she laughed her back would push against my chest and I could feel the vibrations of her giggling. She laughed just like Y/N, making me smile. Olivia fell over on the cushion next to me, laughter continuing to leave her lips.
"Olivia," I chuckled, "what's the matter with you?"
I pulled her up and placed her back on my lap. Olivia turned her head to look at me, her eyes identical to mine staring at me. Olivia wasn't silent for long, for she erupted in laughter once again. She turned her head to look back at the television.
"I think this show is too funny for you to watch. Maybe we should change the channel." I said, joking around with her. Just as I was reaching for the television remote she lunged for my arm.
"No!" She laughed, grasping my arm. I couldn't help but laugh at her constant giggling.

"What are you two laughing about?" I heard coming from behind me. I turned my body to see Y/N walking into the living room, still in her pyjamas and her hair in a messy bun. Gosh, even in the mornings she still looked good. She made her way to the couch where Olivia and I sat, a smile spread across her face.
"Olivia can't stop laughing at the cartoon we're watching." I replied, looking down at my daughter. When I looked back up Y/N stood in front of us. She bent down and placed a kiss on the top of Olivia's head before leaning towards me. She pressed her lips to mine and I gave her a kiss before she took a seat next to Olivia and I.
"Yeah, it's really funny Mommy!" Olivia said, wedging herself between Y/N and I. Y/N chuckled.
"I bet." She replied, brushing a section of Olivia's hair behind her ear.

"Mommy, next time you make me smiley face pancakes can you give them a nose?" Olivia asked, changing the subject.
"A nose?" Y/N questioned.
"Yeah, Daddy made me smiley face pancakes while you were sleeping. They had a nose." Olivia said, before looking back at the television and getting lost within the cartoon. Y/N looked up at me with a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
"Okay." Y/N replied, her eyes still gazing into mine.

Our gaze on each other turned to Olivia when she gasped and jumped off of the couch as soon as a song began playing on the television. She stood in front of it and began to dance and sing along to the lyrics of the song. A smile pulled at the corners of my lips as I watched her dance and sing. For a four year old she had a beautiful voice, and it made me proud thinking that she got her voice from me.
I turned my head to look at Y/N when I felt the cushion beside me cave in. Y/N sat closer to me, her hip touching mine. She wrapped her arms around me and placed her head on my chest. I instinctively wrapped my arms around her, holding her in a secure embrace. I placed a kiss on the top of her head and rubbed the small of her back with the palm of my hand.
We both watched our daughter who was singing and dancing in her own little world. It was mornings like these that I would sacrifice sleeping in for; spending it with the two most important girls in my life.
