Despite the rushing of students, the orders from teachers, and the surprisingly loud ticking of the clock above us, Shawn and I couldn't leave each others' embrace to head to class. To a fly on the wall, it must have seemed that our lips were super glued together, seeing as our lips hadn't pulled apart yet. Students, as well as the odd teacher, likely observed while they were passing us, looking either in awe or disgust by our PDA.

Eventually needing to take a breath, I pulled my lips apart from Shawn's. He looked down at me with a small smile pulling at the corners of his lips, causing a blush to form across my cheeks. When Shawn looked at me, he really looked at me. His eyes would skim across the features of my face before they would look back into my eyes. Shawn looked at me, like . . . I was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in the world. I looked down at the floor, a tendency of mine whenever I would blush. Shawn chuckled, picking up on my habits quicker than I expected. Still chuckling, he lifted my chin with his index finger and brought my lips back to his.

After a short kiss, I pulled away from him.
"I have to go," I sighed, once realizing how long I had been standing there kissing him. "I have three minutes to get to class."
Shawn nodded, likely thinking the same thing that I had.
"We can continue where we left off at lunch." I said, partially joking, while leaning closer into Shawn as his embrace around me tightened. Leaning his head down, Shawn rested his forehead on mine and placed a brush of a kiss on the top of my nose. He smiled, pulling his head back.
"That's alright with me." He replied, causing me to chuckle. With one last kiss, we released our hold on one another and headed in opposite directions to our scheduled classes.

I turned down the hall with a huge smile on my face, likely causing the odd student to look at me and wonder what did she take?
While I was walking down the hall with thoughts of Shawn on my mind, I heard my name being called from behind me. "Y/N!" I heard, called by a voice I hadn't heard from in three months. That voice belonged to my ex boyfriend, Luke.
With different emotions flooding through me, I continued down the hall as though I hadn't heard him. He continued to call out to me, but still I willed myself to make every step forward. What does he want? I couldn't help but wonder. Eventually, Luke caught up to me and I had no choice but to acknowledge his existence.

"Y/N," Luke started, slightly out of breath. "Didn't you hear me calling for you?" He asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"I didn't recognize your voice." I replied as a stab, recalling our break up three months ago as the last time we spoke. Luke replied with a sigh.
"Can we talk?" Luke asked with his gaze set on me, and only looking away to maneuver around the other students in the hallway. I thought about this for a moment before replying with an answer. There wasn't a reason for me to refuse having a conversation with him. Despite his disappearance after our break up, Luke and I hadn't ended our relationship badly nor did we have any hatred towards one another. I supposed that I could just listen to what he had to say. Do I want to hear what he has to say? I thought to myself, after all I have Shawn now. Why associate with the past? I asked myself. Catching his gaze, I noticed the desperation in Luke's eyes. This caused me to cave, I had loved him once.
"Sure," I replied, "But please make it quick. I'm already late for class."

Luke pulled me aside, turning into a small hallway that made a dead end at the Janitor's closet. Standing a foot away from each other, Luke turned to face me. I began to awkwardly look around the small hallway, for I hadn't been alone with him in what felt like forever. Just when I was about to ask Luke what it was he wanted to talk to me about, he spoke up.
"I made a mistake," were the first words he used to start the conversation. Before I could question him, he continued. "We should have never broken up." He admitted. Luke had me standing there baffled. With furrowed eyebrows I searched within his eyes.
"Well, it was you who wanted to see other people." I replied, recalling why our relationship ended.
"I know, and I was stupid." Luke said, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
