"They are all lies! Why would I be cheating on you? I love you!" Shawn, my fiancé, yelled from across the living room.
"Do you?! Do you love me?! How can I be sure you are telling the truth? You have been out a lot lately!" I replied back, with just as much anger as he gave off.
"How can you be sure that what you are hearing is true?! I have been out, yes, but for career purposes! You can't just assume that every time I leave home I'm going to see another girl!" Shawn continued.
"And of course I love you," he said as he took a few steps forward, "why do you think I put that ring on your finger?!".
"Why would I be seeing another girl if I asked you to marry me?!" He asked, tugging on the ends of his hair in frustration. I stayed quiet.

Recently a friend of mine had told me that she had seen Shawn out with another girl. I didn't believe it at first, but then with all the articles in magazines and gossip spread around social media, I didn't know what to think. It didn't help that Shawn always had something to do. This was the first time I had brought this up to Shawn.

"She told me that she saw you with another girl at the coffee shop the other day!" I said.
"At the coffee shop?" He mumbled, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Yeah, the one across the street from the studio!" I replied furiously.
Shawn's eyebrows rested and then he began to chuckle.
"What's so funny?" I asked, disgusted by his sudden laughter when we were fighting like this.
Shawn shook his head, sitting down on one of the couches.
"How can you be laughing? This is serious Shawn, your future is on the line." I said. Shawn looked up at me. His facial expression became serious.
"What, you're going to leave me for something I never did?" He asked before continuing.
"That girl I was with was Vanessa, the girl Andrew had found singing online. She's new to the business, I was just hanging out with her. She wanted some advice." He said.
"I'm sure that's what she wanted!" I said.

"You know what I had enough of this." Shawn said as he got up from the couch. He headed towards the front door.
"Where are you going?!" I asked.
"Out! This argument is just a waste of time." He replied.
"I just want to know the truth. I couldn't marry you with the thought in the back of my mind!" I said, tears beginning to build up in my eyes.
"I told you the truth Y/N, there is no one else but you!" He said turning back from the door and walking up to me. I sighed as a tear escaped one of my eyes.
"If this is what our marriage will be like, I don't want to get married." I cried, looking away from him. In the short seconds I looked back at him I saw hurt and then anger rise to his face. The veins on each of his temples stuck out, noticeably visible.

"You don't want to marry me? Then fine. Keep the ring, it's not like I have anyone else to give it too. Of course you won't believe that though." He said angrily before storming out of the house. The door shut behind him with a loud thud. I stood there shocked at how far the argument escalated. Of course I still wanted to marry him, I love him. A lot of things were said out of anger, and I knew that as soon as he came back I would apologize for some of the things I had said. I wiped the tears from my eyes and sniffled. I brushed my hair out of my face with my fingers as I made my way to my bedroom.

I watched TV until I had fallen asleep. I tried to stay up and wait for Shawn but I grew very tired. I was waken up by my cell phone ringing on the nightstand beside me. I opened my eyes just a bit to grab my phone. I answered the call and put the phone to my ear, not sure who was on the other end since I hadn't looked at the number.
"Hello." I answered, my voice groggy from sleep.
"Hello," replied an unfamiliar female voice, "Is this Ms Y/F/N?". I fully opened my eyes and sat up.
"Yes this is. May I ask who is calling?" I asked, brushing my hair out of my face.

"Yes Ms Y/L/N, I am a nurse at the General Hospital. I call to inform you that," she paused, "Shawn Mendes, was brought in not to long ago.". I felt as if I had stopped breathing for those few seconds.
"Oh my God. Is he alright? What happened?" I asked, already jumping out of the bed. I left the TV playing.
"I'm afraid that Mr Mendes was brought here in serious condition due to a car accident. Officers think he was driving too fast." She replied.
