"Shawn," I whined, trying to pry my boyfriend off of me. "My Mom is going to be home soon, you have to go." I said. Shawn's weight on top of me made it difficult to get him to move.

"Shawn," I laughed, "stop." Shawn then removed his lips from my neck and chuckled too, before slowly sitting up on the bed.
"You never let me get to the fun part." He said with a smirk, causing me to playfully roll my eyes.

I sat up myself and crossed my legs staring at Shawn as he got up from the bed. He grabbed his leather jacket that was lying at the end of the bed and slipped it on. He wore all black, including the jacket.
"Are you going to meet me at that senior's party tonight?" Shawn asked, walking closer to where I sat.
"No, I can't. I have to finish my paper for History." I replied, "Plus I doubt my Mom will let me out tonight after last weekend."

Last weekend Shawn took me to a party and I ended up coming home later then I had expected. Like way past midnight, and I got in a lot of trouble with my Mother.
"Come on Babe," Shawn whined, "just tell your Mom that you're going to crash early and then sneak out the window."
Shawn now stood in front of me, looking down at my from where I sat on the bed.
"If you want I can come pick you up?" He offered. I sat up on my knees and grabbed his hands that hung at his sides, entwining our fingers together.

"No, I better not. As much as I would love to go with you, I can't." I replied, as I brought my face closer towards his. I placed my lips on his, and being the tease that he is he made me wait before moving his lips along with mine. I released my hands from his and placed them on either side of his waist as he placed his arms around mine.

In the middle of a kiss, I could hear the front door downstairs shut. Shit! I removed my lips from Shawn's immediately.
"My Mom is home!" I informed in a panic, knowing how my mother felt about Shawn. "You have to go!" I said, pushing at his chest for him to back away towards the bedroom window. "Now!" I demanded, just as he tried to steal another kiss. Shawn chuckled, pulling me with him away from the bed. I could hear my Mother's footsteps coming up the stairs. I continued to push him towards the window.

"Geez Babe," Shawn chuckled, "I'm going, I'm going."
Shawn sat upon the window sill and swung one leg out of the window, getting readying to climb down.
"If you happen to change your mind about the pa-" he started, but I cut him off.
"Yes, I'll text you. Now go, please." I said in a panic. My Mother could walk into my bedroom at any second. Shawn nodded, placing a quick kiss on my lips before leaving through the window.

Just then I heard the click of my bedroom door being opened, causing me to turn away from the window to face my Mother. She slowly walked into my room with a suspicious look on her face.
"Hey Honey, how was school?" She asked looking around. She rested her gaze on me for a moment, waiting for a response.
"It was okay." I answered, trying to sound calm despite my previous panic. My heart was still racing. "How was work?" I asked, watching her walk around my room. She went over to my closet and slowly opened one of the doors, taking a quick look inside as if she would catch Shawn hiding within it.
"Busy," she replied, "but alright."

Every time she came into my room it seemed like she was searching for Shawn, expecting me to be hiding him away.
My parents didn't like him. They thought he was immature, they didn't like the way he dressed in all black, and heard that he was bad news. My Mom has heard numerous things about Shawn from the people living in the neighbourhood, and they weren't good things. Shawn had quite a reputation with the things people spread about him. Some of these things were true while others were only rumours.
"He's not here, Mom." I said, rolling my eyes.
"What?" She questioned, stopping in her tracks and looking at me.
"Shawn." I began, "He's not here."
"Oh." Was all she responded.

I caught her staring at me, and her eyes began to squint when they rested upon my neck.
"What is that?" She asked, stepping closer to me and moving my hair over my right shoulder. Her eyes grew wide and she gasped.
"He was just here, wasn't he?" She asked. I rushed over to the mirror attached to my dresser, staring at my reflection.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, until my eyes shaw it myself.
There was a purple mark on my neck; a hickey. In that moment I could have killed him.

"That thing on your neck!" My mother replied with outrage, "Cover it up! My God if your Father sees that, he'll be livid."
She turned me towards her to look at the mark once again.
"It's disgusting. What are people going to think when they see that?!" She questioned. Rolling my eyes once again, I grabbed my cover up that was rested on the dresser and began to dab it over the purple mark with a makeup brush.

"You are not going to see him again, do you understand me? He is a bad influence on you. Your grades are dropping, you're coming home late... You have that thing on your neck! What is next? An unplanned pregnancy?!" She yelled.
"Oh please, Mom," I began, as I placed my cover up and brush back on the dresser, "don't get over dramatic."

"I'm being serious Y/N! As long as this is my house Shawn is not allowed to step one foot into it, and as long as you live in it you will not be allowed to see him either." She said.
"You can't do that!" I protested, my heart breaking at the thought.
"Oh yeah?" My mother questioned, "I just did." And she walked out of my room slamming the door behind her.

One thing was certain, I was not going to do as she said. I knew that she just couldn't understand that his reputation had nothing to do with our relationship. I loved him and he loved me. I groaned in frustration, looking at myself in the mirror. I shook my head and then looked back at my nightstand to read the time on the alarm clock. I then grabbed my phone from the dresser to text Shawn.

To: Shawn

U left a mark on my neck and my mom saw it!

A minute later I received a text back.

From: Shawn

Shit. Did I?

I typed back, shaking my head.

To: Shawn

Yeah. Now I'm not allowed to see u anymore.

I chuckled to myself once I had received his reply.

From: Shawn

What else is new?

My phone beeped once again.

From: Shawn

So r u coming to the party?

I looked towards the corner of the room in thought. I was already in trouble, what did I have to lose?

To: Shawn

I'm leaving now.

After sending the text I put my phone in my pocket, grabbed a sweater, and left the house through my bedroom window. As if I would stay away from Shawn.
