The night air was cold, but thankfully I had Shawn's embrace to keep me warm.
We were lying on a blanket in the backyard of Shawn's parents' house, looking up into the night sky at the thousands of shinning stars above us.
"Oh! Look over there," I said, pointing towards a cluster of stars in the sky, "it looks like a rabbit."
"Where?" Shawn asked, looking for the constellation.
"Over there!" I laughed, pointing in its direction again. "Do you see its ears?" I asked, wrapping my arm back around Shawn's abdomen. I tightened my hold around him, seeking more warmth from the cold air of the night.
Finding the shape in the sky, Shawn chuckled.
"I see it," he replied, "You're right, Y/N. It kind of does look like a rabbit." He said, tightening his hold around me.

"Your turn!" I said in excitement, "What do you see?" I asked, looking up at him from where my head rested on his shoulder. Shawn turned his head and looked over at me, before averting his gaze back onto the sky.
"Okay," Shawn smiled, "I see . . ." He trailed, as his eyes scanned across the sky. "Something really beautiful," he answered, "but, I don't think you'll be able to see it." He said, causing a sense of confusion to come over me.
"Why is that?" I questioned, looking back at him. With a wide smile adorning his lips, Shawn turned his head and looked me directly in the eyes. Shawn bit his bottom lip, as if to hold back any laughter he had.
"Where is it?" I asked, growing impatient.
"I'm looking right at it." Shawn whispered.

An uncontrollable blush crept across my cheeks, causing me to look up towards the starry sky in slight embarrassment. Likely finding this adorable, Shawn chuckled. Looking back at him, I noticed the grin that was pulling at the corners of his lips, causing a feeling of fluttering to be felt within my stomach.
Shawn rolled onto his side, shifting his weight onto his forearm. He tilted his body towards me, and used his free hand to caress the side of my face. His thumb slowly and gently brushed over my cheek while he stared into my eyes, before he leant forward and attached his lips to mine.

After a while of kissing underneath the stars, we eventually pulled away from each other's lips. Shawn laid back down, I held him closely against me so that I wouldn't be cold, and we looked back up into the night sky and admired the brightly lit stars shinning above us.
