Okay, from what we know, this show is all about feels. Rebecca Sugar is all about that feels, and she is loaded with them.
I think that Steven will win against Homeworld, but he loses everything. The Crystal Gems loose their memories, Connie never returns, and Greg dies protecting Steven.
And it ends in a cliff hanger.
Honestly, Rebecca would do that.
