"Why don't you like the rain?" Lapis asked, turning around and around until she was dizzy, enjoying the rain that seemed to wash away all of her worries and massaged her stress away. Peridot was still inside the house, refusing to leave.
"It's scary." Peridot said, sticking out her hand only to pull it back in at the feeling of water.
"A lot of things are scary." Lapis said, shrugged, and went off to run on the sand. Peridot watched as Lapis slowly started to leave her behind.
Rain was scary, but being trapped in a house in the rain without Lapis was scarier. Taking a deep breath, she ran after the water winged gem.
