Recap from part 4

I frowned. I don't compare my friends. "They're both very friendly and fun. It's a real pleasure to have them as my friends," I answered truthfully. It was his turn to frown. "Is that all?" "Yeah. Is there something you want to say to me? If there is, I promise I won't tell anyone else if you tell me," I tried my best to look serious. "Okaaay...IthinkNickandZeldalikesyou," his words came out together in a rush and I do NOT know what on earth he said. "What about me?"

This time, he slowed down and spoke the sentence uncomfortably. "I think Nick and Zelda likes you."

Part 5

~Christine's POV~

I blinked and looked away. Er...it seems a bit too early for them to like me. I mean, there's such thing as love at first sight, but it doesn't happen so often. "Are you kidding me? They are only treating me like a friend. Nothing more, nothing less," I told him and it was partly to assure myself that it's not true and never shall be. But a part of me nagged at me, telling me that maybe, just maybe, what Sam had told me was true. So? I won't care. As simple as that.

"Christine," Sam fidgeted. "Things are not what it seems like in this school. The va-....people here are more different than you think. Nick and Zelda doesn't look at any girl like how they look at you. They just look uninterested at other girls while they smile at you sweetly. I'd better shut my mouth up because they're coming back."

True to his words, Nick and Zelda sat down at both sides of me and Nick placed a plate in front of me. I gaped in shock as I saw the large variety of food on the plate. "So much?!" I exclaimed as an apple rolled off the plate.

Nick blushed. He cleared his throat and then explained, "We did not know what you like to eat so we got some of the many food here bit I-I'm s-sorry, I did-didn't get some of all the food h-here. I'll g-get another plate and get the others for you." He got up and I put my hand onto his arm and made him sit down.

"It's okay. I'll just have those which I eat that are on this plate. There's no need to waste your time on me when you could be eating. Oh yeah, where are Kes and Kres?" I looked around, trying to find them. If my senses weren't so good, I wouldn't have realized that suddenly all three of them went rigrid, which worried me even more.

"What happened? Where are they?" I asked worriedly. "They're just getting a drink for themselves. There's no need to worry about them," Zelda replied uncomfortably as he glanced from Nick to Sam. Those three were already breaking up in sweat. I narrowed my eyes at them, not believing a word they said. If they're not telling me the truth, then I will find out for myself. But before that, I have to confirm that they truly are hiding the truth from me. "Are you sure they're okay?" Using the knowledge about Nick liking me, I turned fully so that I faced him and I turned on my charm. Batting my eyelids innocently, I bit my lips awaiting his answer.

He stilled and his eyes popped wide open and stammered. "Y-ye-ye-yeah. T-they ar-are f-fine. R-really." "Okay. I'm fine too if you don't want to tell me the truth," I pouted, got up, and walked towards the drinks area. They must be there or I'll die of embarrassment with so many heads turn to look at me and check me out. Somehow my instinct told me to look around.

My eyes landed onto Kes and Kres who was having a nice looking drink on each of their left hand as they clinked their glasses together and gulped the dark red mixture down. It was so fascinating to watch them gulp down the drink. The reason why they were drinking with their left hands holding the glasses is because their right hands were interlocked as if they were shaking hands.

"Wanna have a drink with us, babe? We can promise you a good time," a pair of lips whispered against my neck causing me to yelp in fright. Laughter could be heard from behind me. Assholes...Then, from my view, I could see a palm coming towards my mouth. I could imagine myself being carried off to any guy's room to await my doom. No, I won't let them do that. "Kes!" I screamed before the person's palm covered my mouth tightly.
