I'm packed off to a boarding school in the middle of nowhere...oh and I don't think they're human~20~
recap from part 19
It only heightened my irritation, but I followed without resisting, because Aldrin was the one waiting for us, and I shudder to think what would happen to Blake, but most importantly, myself too, because Aldrin doesn't give me away to some other guys for free, and he sure doesn't want me to give myself away to a jerk like Blake.
Part 20
My nervousness heightened as I entered the living area, anxious about what Aldrin might say, or whether he had already told the others what had happened between Blake and I. Aldrin was waiting on one of the couches, his finger rapping his bent knees. As for the others, I didn't know where they had scattered to.
"Christine," Aldrin nodded at me in a brotherly way. "Blake." He glared at him instead.
"Yes?" Blake answered coolly.
Tension rose between them. I could hardly ignore the competitiveness that I felt they both had. Now.
"Umm...Let's just relax and talk about this peacefully instead of it ending up in a fight, okay guys?" I pleaded.
They both looked over at me, then looked at each other, and burst out laughing.
"Christine, nothing's going to happen. Take that pleading look off your face. You look so funny like that!" Blake laughed out loud. The real funny thing was that Aldrin laughed along with him. It was such a rare sight. So long as both of them are not at their own mini war, I'm fine with anything. You'll never know what would happen if big guys like them end up with their own wars. No wonder some countries are at war with each other...Sigh...I guess I'll have to stop them if they ever get elected to be presidents. There'll be hell to pay.
I frowned. Did I really look that funny?
"Yeah, of course!" Blake answered me thought. Which got me into thinking...
"Hey, how come all of you are able to read my mind?" I was a little pissed. There was no privacy for me.
Instantly, both guys stiffened and their faces turned serious. But it was Aldrin who replied.
"That's the thing, Christine. We all can read minds. You can, too, but you aren't taught to do that, neither are you taught to block out people from your mind, so until then, we'll get to read your mind!" They burst out laughing again.
"Seriously do you all find raping my head that amusing?" I snapped.
"Not really, and it's not called raping your head, it's called mind reading," Blake flashed a grin at me.
"I don't care what it's called, as long as you all give me my privacy!"
"And if we give you privacy, wouldn't Blake have raped you just now?" Aldrin stated.
For that, I had no answer, but what he said was right. I might have been raped by Blake and not know it. Seriously what was wrong with me? I've gone and get intimate with someone whom I shouldn't have any interest in. Coming to this place might have messed with my mind. Or if Blake was the one who messed with my mind.
"Aldrin, you should trust me man. I wouldn't force her to do something that she doesn't want to do. Couldn't you trust that your...sister is responsible about this enough?" Blake answered him, saving me from having to answer Aldrin. I'll really have to thank him later. After I had that thought, Blake winked at me playfully. Oh gods, save me from this guy!
I decided it was time I spoke. "Al, I know you're worried about me, but there's nothing to be worried about, really. I knew what I was doing."
After this, Aldrin looked at a loss for words. Then, before he left the apartment, he said, "Chris, just don't ever regret that decision. If he really makes you regret, tell me, and I'll beat him into a pulp."
I sat still, not quite registering his words.
"What he meant was that he thought we two are lovebirds, and he really did mean it when he said he would beat me into a pulp if I ever make you regret. And I won't," he came over to me and kneeled in front of me. He stared into my eyes sincerely, and said softly, "Christine, I think I'm starting to like you."
