I'm packed off to a boarding school in the middle of nowhere...oh and I don't think they're humans~44~
recap from part 43
"Is it okay if...you arrange for...er...us to meet your parents like this? I mean, they've got to know that I'm...responsible for you after our...mating...you know... yeah, that's what I want to say."
I continued looking at him as he avoided my eyes uneasily. "Blake...what about your parents?"
Silence blanketed us as he hesitated a little with his answer.
Finally, he dropped the bombshell.
"Both my parents are dead. The guy you saw in the hall was my uncle. He made me call him 'father' because he wants me to be constantly reminded that he have total control of me until I am of age."
Part 44
That so called 'Blake senior' I thought was his father was actually his uncle...
Damn it, what the hell is wrong in this world? Why does the good people get implicated in problems that shouldn't even exist in this world? Sometimes people say 'life is unfair, that's just the way it is,' but I don't feel so. What's up with living fairly?
"Then what about the blind dates that he purposely set for you?" I asked.
"He wants me to be reminded yet again that even though he won't have control of me after I am of age, he'll have a say in my marriage and make it very sure that I would marry the girl he chooses right before my eighteenth birthday, so I'll have no good reasons to divorce her unless I want to damage my reputation. Forever."
A sense of dread and horror overcame me. Then what if he marries some other girl? Would he still love me?
"I'll try my best to make sure that I don't get married by eighteen. I promise you this, Christine."
With my mind flying around in circles, I went to Blake and hugged him as I always do, but this time I didn't notice that I was hugging tighter than I've ever been, but Blake didn't seem to mind. He caressed and patted my back, then hummed a tune softly to me. The angelic voice of his is the very thing that blows away all my troubles.

(unknown pov)(back to last night)
I followed him without thinking about where he was going. Suddenly, I realized with a start. He's going towards the school's general office. Damn. I should have striked while the iron was hot. Damn. There goes my chance. Oh well, I've have a tiny little sleep for now, and the next time, I won't handled him lightly. After all, he was the one who got to bully me back then. We'll see. Let's add another point. His parents, especially his father, had looked down on mine just because they're so dirty rich whereas my family was so poor that we had trouble making ends meet.
