I'm packed off to a boarding school in the middle of nowhere...oh and I don't think they're humans~34~

recap from part 33

"Open your eyes, my sweet Christine." His voice was so lulling, so hypnotic. I must be thinking too much. Or not thinking at all.

Just as my nose had predicted for me, there was food on the table, desserts, to be precise. So he brought me out here to have dessert together? It seemed a little over-exasperating to me, but on the other hand, my heart squeezed inside my chest. He'd taken the trouble to have a picnic with me not once, but twice, and right now, we were going to share ice creams first, in case it melts, and then slowly proceeding to drink up the drink in the glass. Mango or banana juice, I think. I couldn't see well in a place a dark, and the lighting were in different colors, so it kinda confused the color of the drink. And Blake was smiling as he held out a dessert spoon for me. "Let's dig in."

Part 34

We were watching stars in the skies together when it happened. An alarm sounded and screams and shouts could be heard. Blake and I looked at each other in confuse. In a boy's school, you can rarely hear screams cause they're all guys.

Then, without words, we both ran towards the source of the noise.

It took us quite a while, but still, we managed to get to the school hall, where there noise are. There was a crowd standing in a circle, surrounding someone who was groaning in pain. Together, Blake and I made our way to the front of the crowd to see what had caused such an uproar.

When we got to the front line, I was horrified to see Tallty writhing on the floor, trying to grab something that was not there.

"Get off me..." he croaked in an all-suffering voice. What was left of his skin was all in blisters and pus oozed out of those blisters which had split open. "Get off..." And then he dropped dead.

More screams and shouts erupted all around the scene. Students were ordered to stand back as the headmaster arrived. With a gasp, I recognized who the headmaster was. It was the same man who had visited my family back in Singapore, but that was years ago. If I could remember correctly, he was sort of my father's best friend, but since I was a lot younger when I last saw him, I could not remember even a hint of his name.

"What had happened here? Who did this to him?" The headmaster's voice resounded throughout the hall, getting everyone's attention. "I repeat, who did this to him? Or can someone just tell me what happened here?"

A timid voice answered. "My friend and I were walking past the hall when we heard strange sounds from inside. We then went in and saw Mr Tall on the floor and making the strange sounds. We shouted, and people started gathering around and screaming and shouting. That's all I know about this."

The headmaster nodded. "Okay. Children? Please go back to your respective apartments and stay in with your roommates until further notice. Take note of whoever is going where, and do not go anywhere alone. Go in at least twos or threes but it'll be better if you all went out together. That way you'll be more safe. I'm going to seal off this place and get medical experts to work on this crime scene, assuming it is one. So, off you go!" He ended his orders, then looked around the crowd. His eyes landed on me briefly, and recognition flared in his eyes. "And I'd like to see Christine."

Everyone parted in groups, muttering and discussing maybe about what had happened. As the hall cleared, the only ones left was me, Blake, the headmaster, and Tallty's corpse. The headmaster started towards us, and Blake's grip tightened on my hand reassuringly to remind me that he would be with me.
