I'm packed off to a boarding school in the middle of nowhere...oh and I don't think they're humans~50~
Recap from part 49
She strained to hear her father's voice over the phone because of the noisy surroundings, which was packed with people who had either landed in Singapore, or people who were about to leave Singapore. "That's good. Now, how about you all go have your dinner first, I'll send someone down to pick you up. You have enough money with you?"
"Yep. Bye Dad!" Christine replaced her cell in her pocket, then walked over to the guys, where Blake was standing in front of them. "Guys, wanna grab a bite? I know there's a Sakae Sushi somewhere in this terminal."
Part 50
"What's that? What's Sakae Sushi?" Kres asked Christine in a low voice when they followed Christine, hoping the others would not hear what he asked.
"It's some kind of Japanese restaurant, serving Japanese food, like sushi and stuff."
"Oh. Okay. I get it," he hung back until he was last of the group. Kes turned back and looked at him with a frown.
"Are you okay?" Kes grew worried about Kres. He was afraid something they did or somewhere they went they would somehow unlock some of Kres' nightmares. "Do you want to get to Christine's house as soon as possible?"
"No. We'll stay out as long as they like, at least until the sun comes out," Kres said under his breath. No way was he going to make anyone worry about him. Now, the sun was all he cared about. At least that's what he thought.

~back in school~
He walked on tiptoes through the corridor. Christine and her friends had left and now he was free to break into their apartment to search through their things. 'If I find and porn in there I'm going to report them' he thought sneakily, a evil grin etched across his face. Of course he would do anything to get them into trouble. Especially Blake. Oh boy, not him again. After he'd succeeded this time, he'll finally be free of him. Damn that Blake. Now, moving on to his next step: trying to unlock the door.
He slipped a hair pin out of his pants' back pocket, and set to work, picking the lock on the very front door. Moving it around until the was a soft click, he smiled in victory as he turned the knob, turning it soundlessly. Before going in, he made sure to check the corridors in case there was any teachers about. He shut himself in, barely controlling the urge to cheer in glee.
Hands moved about for the light switches by the door he'd once seen before; there it was. He applied pressure on his fingers and immediately he was engulfed in bright light. Brand new light bulbs, huh? So many light bulbs too, judging by the light that came from all around the dining room alone. Maybe he'll consider helping himself to their apartment while they were on vacation. Who would miss an apartment on vacations anyway?
He let his hands touch every surface of the apartment. Chairs made of expensive wood; dining table made of marble; flooring made of polished wood; and ceilings made up of small pieces of mirrors placed side by side, making the whole stretch of room look twice its original size. He wondered why this apartment was so exclusively decorated while other apartments were neutral.
He walked into the kitchen, and opened up the fridge. Of course, they would have stocked up their food supply before leaving. Again, who would miss the food in their fridge when they're having a vacation? Damn, that chocolate bar looked delicious enough to be eaten through the wrapper. Unable to resist temptation, he grabbed for the bar of chocolate, but before he could think of resting on which bed in the apartment, he heard footsteps coming towards the apartment he was in. Shit, please don't let anyone know he was here. Padding over to the light switches, he flipped the switches off, darkness encasing the whole apartment. Good.
Now he had to find a good hiding place.
...
The bedrooms. Oh yeah.
'Lady Luck's smiling at me,' he thought as he made his way towards the bedrooms. He felt relieved at the speed at which he had done all these, and then now, when looking for a place to hide, he found himself thanking whoever who had designed the structure of the apartments, because if not for the same design for every apartment, he would have been exposed as he heard footsteps enter the apartment. He went into the last room in the stretch of corridor. And last but not least, run into the nearest closet and hide inside.
~back to Christine's vacation~
"Kres, are you sure you're already full? You've only ate a few pieces of sushi. Kes' eaten about more than twenty, and he still isn't full," Christine asked Kres, who was playing with his fourth piece of sushi.
"Yeah. I'm fine." He hated the fact that people were asking him this question frequently. "I ate quite a lot of food on the plane, that's why."
Christine did not reply at his words. She had looked at him occasionally on the plane, and she was very sure he didn't have a good appetite on the plane too. But she kept quiet. Sometimes it was better not to dig up some things that might be unpleasant.
Christine looked down at her own plate. Thirteen pieces eaten, one more to go before she couldn't take in anymore. She looked around at the dining place. They were the only customers, currently. Which was not surprising, given the time it was now. Everyone would be looking for a place to sleep in, by now, but they were kind of nocturnal. "Blake, do you like the sushi?"
"Yup, best I've ever eaten," his words came out muffled as he continued chewing on the sushi he had stuffed into his mouth. He looked cute to Christine that way.
"Good, I've glad you like it." Christine picked up her phone as her father's number flashed on her screen and vibrated. "You've reached? We're just about to finish. You want some sushi too?"

<<A small part from Kres' Story>>
"Mummy is gone," Kes whispered to him. "Daddy's coming to us."
True enough, their father came into their view seconds later. Their father carried them both up on both sides of his arms, pressing a kiss to both their foreheads. "I'm so sorry, babies. I tried to keep your mother, but..." Tears streaked down his face.
Kres felt saddened by the fact that his father had cried right in front of them. Their mother's leaving must have hurt him a lot to make him cry. Kres had never seen his father cry in all his short child's life, and to seeing his father cry, he thought that maybe things were worse than how he had assumed. Never again will they have a mother, and never again would she come back, and his father was crying...about something that Kres felt included them, and a part of him hoped that nothing even worse would happen.
About two weeks later, Kes and Kres were at home watching the television together on the couch after completing their required assignments when they heard keys turn in the doorknob and prepared to welcome their father home when they heard another voice outside. A female one. But it wasn't their mother's voice. Kres began to feel worried.
