Chapter 59

   Y/N'S POV

  Right now, I was on my way to pick up Blake from Clark's house. It was not that long of a drive, but I enjoyed watching the scenery of Metropolis. Notice I said Metropolis, not Gotham..I got scared sometimes driving by myself, but I was only doing it because I wanted time for myself.
Gotham had its moments, but there was a certain time of the day where you avoided being on the road period.
 

  Anyway, I had finally passed the Smallville billboard sign. I spotted the Kents' residence, before I carefully drove up the driveway.

  I parked the car and got out, and I smiled spotting Blake playing with Clark and Krypto.

  Blake saw me and yelled,"MOM!!"

  I chuckled and ran hugging Blake. I smiled and realized Blake was getting bigger every day.

  Blake hugged back and said,"Mom, I missed you.."

  I hugged him tighter saying,"I missed you, too, baby. Ready to go see the family?"

  Blake nodded and rushed into the car. Clark walked up beside me and I never realized how much taller he was than me.

  Clark chuckled and nudged me saying,"Do not think about it too much, or you just might explode.."

  I hit his shoulder saying,"Ha ha, Kent. Thanks for watching Blake, it means a lot to me.."

  Clark shrugged and said,"It is no problem, Y/N. Blake is a really great kid..Blake might have told me about how he wanted to be a great, big brother for Tom."

  I saw Krypto sitting next to Blake's door and Clark joked saying,"You can go home with Blake..I am sure Bruce will not mind.."

  I giggled and said,"Yeah, Bruce will have a heart attack. Matter of fact, Krypto can come with us. Thanks for the idea Man of Steel, you are so helpful."

  Clark chuckled and kissed my forehead saying,"You are welcome, Mrs. Wayne. You may wanna leave now, before Blake decides to stay another day.."

  I smiled and nodded, before I said goodbye to Clark and walked back to my car.
 
  As I did, I felt a sharp pain in my leg.

  I groaned and stopped walking, and Blake worriedly said,"Mom, what is wrong? Are you okay?"

  I nodded and bit my lip saying,"I am fine, Blake. It is nothing.."

  Blake nodded and I noticed Krypto jumping out of the car. He ran over to Clark's side, before Clark waved. I waved back and then made my way back to Gotham.

  On the way there, Blake groaned saying,"Mom, I am hungry. Can we stop?"

  I nodded and said,"Are you really hungry, Blake, or do you just want some ice cream?"

  Blake thought about it, which made me giggle softly.

  He questioned,"Mom, if I get ice cream, will it be the last time? Will you not take me back? Will Dad be mad? Will-"

  I cut Blake off by putting a finger on his lips and chuckling saying,"Baby, calm down. I never said you could not get the ice cream. No, your father does not care if you get ice cream or not."

  Blake did a happy dance, and I just laughed pulling into the parking space. I did not feel comfortable leaving Blake inside the car, especially in Gotham, so we just went inside and sat down. Blake held my hand as I made it to the door. Then, he rushed to get us a table.

  I chuckled and watched him, while I ordered our ice creams. Maybe I should get the boys some later, before we left. If I ordered them now, then they would melt in less than 3 minutes. I got Blake cookies and cream, while I ordered cake batter.
  I walked over to our table, only for a mom to be standing there with her little girl. The little girl was African American, had the curliest hair, and had on a Batman t-shirt. She reminded me of someone I used to know a long time ago.

  Her mom held out her hand and apologetically said,"I am sorry for interrupting..My daughter, Rose, just wanted to say hello to your son. I am Karen."

  I smiled back and shook her hand saying,"I am Y/N. Your daughter is very beautiful, by the way. Here is my number, if you ever need anything. Trust me, I will not bite. I promise..."

  Karen and I exchanged numbers, before Blake watched Rose leave with Karen.

  I nudged him and smirked saying,"Someone has a crush on Rose!! Aww, baby!! I have to tell your father!!"

  Blake took my phone and whined saying,"No, Mom, Dad cannot know yet. Plus, she is really cute..."

  I giggled and pinched his cheeks, before Blake groaned and pushed my hands away. I got everyone some ice cream, then I headed back to Wayne Manor.
  Once I got there, I spotted the boys playing outside, while Ria and Barb were watching them.

  The boys spotted Blake and ran to him yelling,"BLAKE!!"

  I chuckled, while the boys pulled him in for a group hug. Blake smiled and hugged the boys back, before I felt strong arms wrap around me. I leaned into Bruce's touch and held his hands, while I mentioned the ice cream.

  Bruce's eyes seemed to light up, and that was new for him.

  He picked up Blake, before he ran over to my car. I chuckled and the boys soon followed.

  I walked up to Alfred, while he smiled over at me saying,"Felt like doing a good deed, Mrs. Wayne?"

  I laughed and nodded saying,"Yeah, I wanted to be you, Alfred. Guess what? I can live like that, Pennyworth."

  Alfred kissed my forehead, before I continued to talk to him.
