When I see Mei again
She rushes over before I have the chance to.
She crushes me in a hug
Screws her eyes shut and sniffsI hug her just as tightly
And bury my face in her coat.
We stand like this,
Warm and relieved
On a cold spring morning.
The school clock reads 7:49
And I smile softly
Because I belong here
And I have people who love me
And my life's changing
But it's changing for the better.
