One Saturday morning,
Mother bursts into my room at
six in the morning,
the sky is barely light outside.
I groan tiredly, turning to
burrow deeper into my duvet.
"Harmony, wake up sweetheart.
Today we won't be going to Aunty Aoi's
because we have a very special
guest coming and
I need your help
cleaning and setting things up"
She rushes around,
opening my curtains,
then throwing open my closet.
"Who is it?"
I ask as I watch her
flick through my clothes.
She turns to me with a
smile that could rival the sun herself,
"Aunt Eevie."
