"We've decided to go out today,
to a restaurant."
Mother says.
We? Is my first thought.
Great, that's just less time alone
with Orsai,
is my second.
"Are you gonna come
with us, mommy?"
Suki asks,
she's beside me
in the back seat of Mother's car.
"Yes, this time I will be there too."
There's something bitter
about her tone.
But I don't ask.
I don't want to get her angry.
The car turns a corner,
and Mother parks outside
a large building,
It's bright banners light up the road,
illuminating the evening streets
with a warm glow.
But my mind churns
and turns it into an ominous picture.
Uncertainty overcomes me.
