Knock, knock
I turn to the door,
"Yes?"
"Harmony, are you there?"
Suki's voice calls out
from the other side.
I ignore the guilt
that twinges in my heart.
"Yeah, what is it?"
I want her to just
give me my privacy.
Not everything that we do,
has to be together all the time.
"Can we play?"
Suki asks, hopefully.
"No I'm busy,
I have extra homework today."
I lie through my teeth,
turning away from the door
and looking back out of my window,
fixing my gaze firmly
on the tall evergreens outside.
"Oh...
