Recap:

Shrugging, Talia came across a tree stump. Sighing, she sat on it. Sitting in the dark, Talia breathed calmly.

If I want, Klaus and I could be together, but we are just friends.

Talia groaned at her own stupidity.

"Why did I say that? I'm such a fool."

Thinking about Klaus, Talia's stomach fluttered.

I need to tell him I feel the same.

After a while, she got up. She was going to go to the Mikaelson Manor.

*after 20 minutes*

"Hello?"

There was no answer. Sighing, Talia walked up the large spiral staircase. Her whole body shaking, she was nervous about what she would find. Seeing a door familiar to her, Talia inhaled and opened it. It was empty, except for a large frame covered in a white sheet.

Talia walked towards it and pulled off the sheet and coughed in the dust.

She looked at it gasped as she saw the beautiful lifesized portrait. It was her.

"Wow." Talia breathed.

"Do you like it?"

Talia spun around with a gasp.

Chapter 64:

"You scared me!" Talia chuckled, her hand over her heart. "What are you doing here?"

"I saw you and decided to follow you in."

Talia nodded and glanced at the painting.

"Do you like it?"

"Tyler, don't start." Talia sighed.

"What?" Tyler challenged. "I didn't say anything except ask if you like it."

Talia turned around and looked at him. "What would you say if I said I love it?" Talia asked.

Tyler remained quiet.

"I think I have my answer." Talia whispered as she shook her head and began to walk away.

Tyler gritted his teeth.

"Wait."

Talia stopped in her tracks.

She waited for him to talk.

"How come you came here?"

Talia ran her tongue along her upper lip as she thought of an answer. Finally, she looked back at Tyler.

"I came for Klaus."

Tyler whipped around.

"For that son of a bitch?!"

Talia nodded calmly.

"Why would you want to see him?"

Talia braced herself.

"Because I...I had to make everything clear. That I was not...interested."

Tyler looked surprised before he sped to Talia and gently touched her face.

"What are you doing?" Talia asked.

"Shh," Tyler murmured.

"No." Talia pulled herself free. "No, Tyler. I can't go there again. Not after what you did."

"But it was a mistake. What I did with Cassie...it shouldn't have happened."

"But why her? Out of all the bitches you could've cheated with, you chose her?" Talia stepped backwards and sighed. "I didn't...look, I'll be your friend and that's it...that's what I can handle at the moment. Rebuild from here."
