Recap:

The woman took out another injection and after squeezing the tip, a thin line of amber liquid squirted out. "There there," she smirked as she carefully squeezing the cold liquid into Talia's neck, right into her vein. After a couple of minutes, she spoke, "pick her up."

A burly man picked her up and stood still.

The third man looked at Brittney and smirking, he walked over to her. He touched her and she swung the cleaver. The man grabbed her and bit into her neck, savaging the silent woman. His two companions looked at them, impatient. Then the trio sped off, causing the small glass pieces to jump as they sped.

*after 30 minutes*

Stefan and Klaus arrived at the motel only to see the door was torn off the hinges. Anger bubbling inside him, Klaus took a deep breath. He saw Brittney's body, the collar of her cleaner's apron soaked in fresh blood. "Talia!" Klaus called out, but there was no reply. He looked around the trashed room and growled as he spotted the coffee table was smashed, with a speck of blood here and there. His eyes darkened and he sped out, Stefan following after him.

Chapter 30:

*at the boarding house*

Elena, Jeremy and Alaric were waiting anxiously as they stared at Ric's phone.

"When is he gonna call?" Elena groaned as she stood up and rubbed her eyes.

"It's only been 15 minutes since his last call," Bonnie rolled her eyes as she walked into the boarding house.

"Bon! Any luck?" Jeremy asked.

Bonnie looked defeated as she sighed again. "No, I'm sorry. The spell didn't work," she looked at Elena. She felt bad when she saw her friend's face fall.

"But how? It worked the last time," Ric frowned.

Bonnie's eyes widened as she noticed that the teacher was looking at her suspiciously. "I-"

"Did you even do the spell again?" Ric asked.

"What? Course I did," Bonnie lied smoothly as she painted a look of betrayal on her face.

"Try again, please," Ric asked, pleading with the young witch.

"Bon, you can't do another one, you'll drain yourself," Jeremy spoke and although Bonnie looked sad, inside she was screaming in joy. A short while ago, she did a spell using Elena's blood along with Talia's single strand of hair from her hairbrush.

Bonnie saw that Talia was in someplace in Tennessee. But she didn't make the effort to see where exactly Talia was. She hated the fact that everyone was falling over the new girl. Especially Jeremy who seemed to eager to help the girl out. Bonnie walked over to Jeremy and he enveloped her in a hug. "Sorry,"

"No, you have nothing to apologise for. I'm sorry," Ric sighed as he stood up. "I'm gonna go for a walk, clear my head,"

After he left, Elena sat back down and sighed. "Ric is barely holding it together after Jenna's death, now Talia's gone missing, why did Klaus take her?" Elena couldn't stop despairing over her dead aunt and missing half sister.

"Damon will be back soon, we can discuss another course of plan with him," Jeremy spoke.

"Thanks, Jer," Elena smiled, her eyes wet with tears. Her phone buzzed and she ran to it instantly, hoping it would be Stefan. "Oh. It's Lexi. She's got nothing in Detroit, no Stefan related sprees. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing," Elena began to laugh before sobering up. "I'm gonna go to Stefan's room. Tell me when Damon comes," Turning her back against the two of them, Elena shut her eyes as she walked up the stairs, silent tears falling down her face. She reached Stefan's room and took a deep breath before she walked in. The last time she stayed in this room, she had slept with Stefan only to find out about, Katherine. It was the night that she and Talia had crashed Jenna's range rover. Picking up Stefan's sweater, Elena lay on the bed and hugged the sweater to her chest as she cried silently.
