Recap:
Klaus held his hand out and Talia accepted. Seconds later, they were outside the Grill. Klaus sped the two of them behind the stairs when he heard Caroline and Tyler walk out.
"Ooh." Talia giggled.
"Shh, princess," Klaus murmured as he listened.
Talia rolled her eyes and smiled as Klaus concentrated. Finally, Caroline walked back into the Grill while Tyler drove off. Klaus sighed and looked at Talia. Seeing that he was squashing her between him and the wall, Klaus moved back.
"Let's go."
Talia took Klaus's hand and they sped to the old tower. Klaus noticed Talia was smiling at him giddily.
"What?"
"Just admiring the view," Talia smirked.
"You were right," Klaus said in a quiet voice, "They've planned something."
Talia's smile fell. "What are you going to do?" Talia's voice quivered.
Klaus' eyes turned dark but they were normal again when Talia cupped his face.
"Klaus?"
"What happened?" Klaus asked again. "With the werewolf venom?"
"I told you, an accident."
Klaus nodded and smiled.
"I'll be back."
"You won't do anything bad, will you?" Talia asked anxiously.
"What do you take me for, love?" Klaus chuckled.
"Do you honestly want me to answer that?" Talia half smiled.
Klaus laughed as he walked towards her. He embraced her and closed his eyes.
"Thank you," Talia whispered.
"Forgive me, love," Klaus murmured as he placed a cloth over Talia's mouth. "This is the only way to keep you out of the way tonight,"
Her eyes wide in fear and betrayal before they closed, Talia was picked up by Klaus. He sped off. Seconds later, he was in his bedroom. Laying Talia down on his bed gently, Klaus moved a strand of hair away from her cheek and sighed, looking sad.
"You lied to me, princess and for that, there will be consequences." Klaus kissed her hand and looked at the cut on her forehead. A look of fury in his eyes, Klaus rose. He was gone, leaving the curtains flutter.
Chapter 76:
"Talia, where the hell are you? I waited for you for a whole damn hour! We supposed to be at the lake right now." Matt looked at his phone and groaned. "Elena's calling me. When you get this, call me! I'm worried." Cutting Talia's call off and answering Elena's, Matt put on a cheery voice. "Hey, Elena! Talia? Er, no. I haven't seen her. Maybe she's with Care. Oh, Lexi then," Matt looked at the clock. "Elena, I gotta go, my shift starts in 10 seconds. Don't worry, I'll let you know as soon as Talia texts me. Are you still at the lake house? Okay, see you. Yeah, I'll drive Talia tonight. Yes, don't worry. Bye." Matt looked at his phone and groaned.
At the lake house, Elena exhaled as she looked at her phone.
"Hey,"
"Hey, Bon," Elena murmured.
"Are you okay? Hearing the cure stuff can't have been easy,"
"I'm fine." Seeing that Bonnie was looking at her disbelievingly, Elena sighed, "Talia was supposed to come to the lake house a couple of hours ago."
