Chapter 25: The Last Day

Recap:

After healing the nurse, Lexi compelled her, "go to the nurses quarters and have a shower. You won't remember any of this. A patient spewed on you so you needed to run and grab a shower. You got it?" After the nurse had gone, Lexi turned to the other two girls and spoke "Where's Stefan? I can't find him? Damon's missing too, not that I care about him" she added.

"My Dad won't pick up his phone, and Jenna's gone. I think Damon is with Elijah," Talia whispered as a tear threatened to spill out.

Lexi walked towards Talia and hugged her, "sweetie, we'll find them."

Elena nodded and looked determined as she walked to Jenna's bed. She noticed that the IV stand was knocked down with a speck of blood on the floor. "Jenna was taken," Elena gasped as she rushed towards the door. Talia and Lexi followed.

Who could have taken her? Talia thought as Elena started her car and Lexi sat in the front. Talia bundled herself into the back seat and pulled out her phone to ring Jeremy as Elena sped off.

Chapter 25:

"Jeremy pick up, you buffoon," Talia muttered as her heart raced. She dialled again and was fearful that he wouldn't answer. "Typical, when you need someone, they don't bloody answer!"

"Why won't her pick up?" Elena groaned as she swerved suddenly. 

Lexi scowled as the contents of her bag spilled out. "Try again," Lexi sighed as she took out her own phone. The vampire dialled for her friend who finally picked up. "About damn time, where the hell are you Stefan?" Lexi yelled down the phone.

"Tell him. Tell him Jenna's missing," Elena gasped as she swerved again to avoid a group of people in the road.

"Woah. Calm down. Your girl is trying to kill me," Lexi muttered into the phone, causing Elena to scowl. "Well.."

"Jer! Finally mate! Where are you? Listen. Go to Caroline's with Bonnie now! Jenna's been taken and the others are missing. No no. Don't come to the hospital. We're on our way to you guys. Let the Sheriff and Mrs Lockwood know what's happening," Talia cut the call off and tried to ring Tyler again. "Hi. This is Tyler, I can't come to my phone right now so leave me a message and if I like you, I'll reply," Talia rolled her eyes as she heard her boyfriend's voice on his voicemail. "Shit," Talia looked at her phone. "Tyler still won't answer. By the way, where exactly are we going?" Talia asked as she saw an unfamiliar route. When Elena didn't answer, Talia asked again.

*10 mins later*

Elena parked the car outside Caroline's house and the trio ran in as if their lives depended on it. Upon seeing Jeremy, Elena ran to him and enveloped him in a big hug.

"What's going on?" Carol asked as she winced trying to sit up.

"Everyone is missing. Well, Jenna's been taken from the hospital. Dad won't answer his phone. Tyler, Matt and Caroline are still missing from hours ago and now Damon and Stefan are gone," Talia reeled off anxiously.

"Damon's with Elijah," Jeremy spoke and he looked at Talia, "he rang me just a while ago, told me to stay indoors,"

Elena breathed a sigh of relief, but Lexi frowned, "what about Stefan? I'm gonna go and try to find him."

Elena nodded.

"No, what if Klaus... you know what he's like," Talia sighed with pleading eyes. "We don't want you to go missing!"

"He doesn't know who I am, plus I'll come back here," Lexi smiled before speeding out.
