Recap:

Talia took a slurp of the salty blood and forced herself to swallow. The man looked at her and Talia blinked. After a few seconds she shook out of the trance and found herself all alone in the car park. Straightaway she remembered what she was compelled to forget and was left shook up. She could taste blood in her mouth and remembered how the man fed her his blood. Wtf. Is this a satanic town? She couldn't remember who the man was as she could only remember some things. But Talia feared she was going insane. Talia wiped her mouth and adjusted her jacket as she saw a pair of headlights in the distance. She saw the driver pull up and recognised the car. It was her father.

Talia sighed in relief and almost ran to his car, despite the raging headache forming in her head. She decided not to tell her father what happened and was glad of the lack of lights and the dimly lit car park as he wouldn't be able see her sickly pale face.

"Hey sweetie. How was the Grill?" Alaric asked as he reversed out.

Talia looked at her father and replied "hmm, it was ok. I saw that guy again. That Elijah bloke. He seems nice," she said as she failed to stifle a yawn. Alaric chuckled and Talia smiled sleepily as she found herself dozing off despite her efforts to stay awake. She couldn't stop thinking about the girl who had been killed in front of her. It was probably a hallucination.

From a distance, a vampire was watching the girl as she got into a car. Feeling satisfied she was safe, he sped off into the darkness. He was the one who saved her and his name was....

Chapter 12:

Talia woke to find herself in her bed. She couldn't remember how she got there before realising that she had fallen asleep in the car. Dad must've carried me. Sitting up in bed, she looked outside her window and it was pitch dark. Yawning, she stood up to walk to her bathroom before she realised that she was still wearing her day clothes. Sighing, she reached for her pyjamas and walked into her bathroom. After she splashed her face with cold water, she quickly changed into her pyjamas and threw her clothes in the basket. But she caught sight of her bruises and they were still there, purple against her ever so slightly tanned skin.

She was about to walk out when she noticed that there was dried blood on her neck. She was shocked and stood right next to her mirror to see. The weird thing was that there was no wound, just dry blood. Almost straight away, the events from just a few hours ago came flooding back to her. Talia also remembered who saved her and felt her chest tighten. Oh my god. It really did happen. Talia had hoped that this was a nightmare but it seemed not. She quickly grabbed her shirt from the basket and held it under the hot tap before dabbing at her neck as she tried to clean the blood off.

Feeling satisfied that the blood was off, she put her shirt in the basket again and walked over to her dressing table in her bedroom as she spritzed a puff of perfume on her neck. Her perfume was Chanel, the one her mother used to wear. She was told by her father that Isobel had expensive taste and would always use this particular perfume, no matter what the occasion. Talia saw that she was running low on the perfume as she held the bottle up to see a few drops of gold liquid remained.

Talia hardly wore this perfume as it was expensive and this particular bottle was gifted to her by her grandparents and Talia had forgotten about it as it was kept hidden at Katie's, along with her other possessions.
