Recap:

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"I'm talking about you and Klaus. Your romantic midnight stroll today. You know what I'm talking about."

"Nope." Talia smiled even though her heart was thudding hard.

"Give it up, I know you're lying."

"You're insane. What do you want?" Talia asked in a low voice.

"Cut off Tyler forever or I tell everyone what a naughty little witch you've been. It's your choice," Hayley smirked.

"You're seriously blackmailing me?" Talia scoffed. She took a step towards Hayley and looked into her eyes. "You're messing with the wrong witch, werewolf bitch."

"That may be so...but you're rattled. It looks like I'll have to spill the beans."

"You have no proof." Talia snapped.

Hayley chuckled as she walked off.

"Why are you walking away?" Talia snarled. "Come on then, where's your damn proof?"

Hayley was gone.

Talia sighed as she leaned against the bridge.

Seconds later, her phone buzzed. Taking it out, she froze.

"Fuck..." Talia exhaled. Hayley has sent her a pic of her and Klaus kissing. "Damn it!" She dialed a number and sighed. "Klaus? We have a problem and you're not gonna like it."

Chapter 69:

Hayley smirked as she leaned against the balcony, a drink in her hand. She thought of the way Talia's face fell when she knew Hayley knew her sordid secret. She better make the right choice. Raising her drink to her lips, Hayley smiled as she envisioned Tyler in her mind's eye. She sighed softly, her heart yearning for the only Lockwood heir. There was a knock on the door, snapping Hayley out of her thoughts. She cleared her throat. "Come in,"

Tyler walked in, holding a blanket."Um... this is the coldest room in the house, and I thought you could do with this."

Hayley smiled. "You're so sweet, thanks."

Tyler threw the blanket on the bed and made to leave when Hayley spoke again. "Hey, uh... is it okay if I sleep in your room again? I mean, I'm worried I'm gonna sleepwalk again and end up getting hit by a car or something."

Tyler nodded. "Sure, but this time I'll sleep here and you can have my room."

"But I feel bad. Come on, Ty, you said it yourself, this room is the coldest in the house. I'll take your bed and you can have the sofabed?" Hayley watched as Tyler deliberated over her suggestion. "What do you say?"

"I don't know," Tyler said hesitantly, "I mean, Talia-"

"But you've broken up," Hayley said. "Come on, it's not like we're gonna be in the same bed an-."

"You know what," Tyler cut off Hayley and picked up the blanket. "You take my room. I'm gonna sleep in one of the guest rooms. Mom won't mind."

Knowing that Tyler's mind was made up, Hayley smiled and pretended to yawn.

"So, yeah. Night," Tyler murmured before he walked out. He stopped at the door and stopped. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me. I'll probably be awake."

Hayley smiled and grabbed her phone as she followed Tyler out. She walked into his room but was left disappointed that he was not there. Why is he being loyal to that bitch now? Scowling, Hayley placed her phone on the bedside only to have her attention caught by something. "What the-" Hayley picked up the photo frame and her insides tingled with jealously as Talia and Tyler's photograph, where she was kissing his cheek as Tyler snapped a photo. "Urgh...little Miss Perfect." Hayley slapped the photo frame so it faced down. "That's better," Hayley smiled as she began to change. She slipped between the black silk sheets and smiled as she sniffed the pillow, which smelled of Tyler's cologne.
