"I'm so upset you can't go to the Nurse's Ball this year. I mean it's bad enough that this would be the first one where we're married, but you'll miss Lucas' wedding." Alexis says. "You think I wanna be stuck in a hospital bed while my son is getting married? I can hardly walk, and it's just so much commotion for my first time in public. Plus I won't be discharged till like halfway through and by that point it'll be too late to go." he argues.
"I'm gonna have to walk down the red carpet alone." She reminds him. "Take Arthie." he suggests. "He's going with Olivia." She tells him. "I should've figured. Well, then go with Diane or get Kristina or Molly to come up for the night."
"Maybe I won't go." she says. "No no no, it's bad enough I won't be at my son's wedding but you can't miss it too. You have to be there for me." he tells her. "Plus, you've been stressing over me non stop since I got hurt, take a night to have fun, and donate a bunch of my money to help fight HIV and AIDS." he says. "I know but I won't be the same without you."
"Alexis, it'll kill me if you don't go because of me." he tells her. "Okay fine, I'll go, but you gotta promise me that while I'm gone you're text me so I know you're okay." Julian rolls his eyes. "I'm perfectly fine, I can walk again, granted not that much but still. I'm gonna be okay, you need to enjoy yourself." he says.
They kiss for while before a couple seconds of silent staring. "So Arth and Olivia. After how pissed he seemed about what she did last year I never would've guessed they'd ever be friends. I mean I should've known he'd go tonight, I mean he'd die if it meant getting closer to the cure for AIDS." Julian states. "Is he HIV positive?" she asks. "Not that I know of."
"Oh my god, it's always 9!" Alexis exclaims after seeing the time. "I have to go. I'm supposed to pick something up at the police station then Diane and I are getting our nails done then I'm gonna have to get ready for tonight." She explains. "Don't let me keep you."
He kisses her goodbye and lays down, making it look like he's going to sleep. As soon as the door closes he gets up, using the sides of the bed as support. His side and legs hurt but he manages to get to his phone, on the other side of the room. "Hey, we're all set for tonight. Alexis thinks I'm not being discharged till late. She won't catch on. She's gonna be out all day getting ready for the Nurse's Ball so I have all the time I need." he leaves the message and brings his phone back to his bed.(Who do you guys think Julian is talking to?)
9:27 a.m.
"I'm sorry I'm late, I had something to deal with." Alexis apologizes. "At the hospital with Julian?" Carlos asks. "I hear things. How long did you think you could hide it from me?" he asks rhetorically. "That's not why I'm here. You know the witness is dead which means your case has a good chance of getting thrown out. If you promise not to go after Julian, I can guarantee that you will be a free man in no time." She says.
"Will I be allowed to go off with my wife and kid?" he asks. "You'll be a free man, you can do whatever you want." she explains. "Though you're gonna wanna stay out of trouble." She adds. "Haha, thank you Alexis. You get me out of trouble and I'll say Julian told me not to do those things." he promises. "Just leave him out of it completely. It's no secret he used to be involved in organised crime and if you mention him at all they'll pin you with being part of the organization." She warns.
Alexis finished talking with her client and goes to leave. Outside the interrogation room she nearly crashes into Diane. "Hey, I was just going to meet you at Kelly's." She tells her. "Well I decided to meet you instead." She says. "Now come on, we have to keep our appointment, today everyone is getting their nails done, you're lucky your rich hubby was able to bend some other people's appointments." She says.10:09 a.m.
"I know he's still in a lot of pain and he doesn't need that kind of commotion but I'm still upset Julian isn't going tonight." Alexis admits to Diane. "I'm sure he wants to be there. His son is getting married. I bet if he could go, he would." She comforts her. "Yeah I know but I don't feel right going without him. This is the first Nurse's Ball I'm going to as Alexis Davis-Jerome. I was hoping to go with the Jerome part."
"Once he gets out of the hospital, he'll take you all kinds of places. Especially if you use those things I got you." She teases. "You know I hadn't told him about those and he found out. He was laughing so hard I thought he was gonna rip his stitches. I've never seen him turn red like that. It reminded me why I married him."
"And why you can't keep your hands off him?" she questions. "Please, you've seen him. How can anyone keep their hands off him?" she laughs. One of the girls near them snickers. Alexis doesn't turn to her but glances at Diane, who's facing her. "Has she been listening to us?" she whispers. "I think so."
"Considering your husband's name has been all over the news and everyone has an opinion you bet if someone hears his name they'll listen." She adds. "I feel like people are staring." Alexis worries. "They are. Don't give them any attention and they'll go away." Diane tells her. "When it comes to Julian I don't like the attention. Why can't people just mind their own business?" she demands, getting louder at the end.
Alexis and Diane finish and get out as soon as possible. "Wait." Diane says, running back in after Alexis is out of earshot. "You should all be ashamed of yourselves." She declares before rushing out to meet Alexis in the parking lot.
