9:45 a.m.
Sam had stopped by earlier to get Jo and Leo to get them something to eat. Alexis lays her head on Julian's arm and wraps her arms around her waist. She wipes a few tears off her cheeks and puts her hand in Julian's. As soon as her fingers brush his palm his hand tightens. She looks up at him. "Is Jodie okay?" he asks. "Yes, yes she's good. She's scared for you, but she's okay." she tells him. "Thank god."
"Please don't cry, I hate seeing you sad." He says groggily. "Oh baby." she kisses his cheek. "Are you okay?" he asks. "I'm fine. I'm fine." she assures him. He reaches and puts his hand on her stomach. "How's the baby?" he asks. "I don't know." she says. He takes a deep breath, struggling to exhale. "Are you alright?" she asks. "Yeah yeah. I just feel like someone's sitting on my chest. Or I'm underwater. I've felt worse."
"Do you want me to go get someone?" she asks. "No, no. I would feel a lot better if I wasn't worrying about our little miracle." he says. "I'll go talk to someone later." she tells him. "Okay good. I can't bare anything happening to you or this baby." He tells her. "I talked to her all night." she says. "Oh, so who's the one saying it's a girl now?" he teases. "You put it in my head." she says. He laughs, making his chest hurt. "Easy honey."
"I need to know this baby is gonna be okay." he says. "I can go talk to Dr. Finn."she tells him. "No not him. He's an asshole." Julian says. "Okay. I'll ask Lucas." she says. "Not him either. This is his little sibling, I don't want him to be too involved before the kids born. After the negative test he was so hard on himself. I don't want that." He tells her. "What about Griffin Monroe? Or do you have a problem with him too?" she asks. "No I trust him. He took good care of me."
"So I'll go talk to Dr. Monroe." she says. "I wanna be there but I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to leave my bed." he says. "Yeah that would be a no no. As soon as Sam and Jo get back with Leo I'll go find him." she says. "Okay. Okay."
"You're exhausted." she realizes. "Just a little tired. I'm more worried about my kids than anything." He says. "I'm worried about Jodie and this amazing little miracle." He adds. "Jodie just needs time and someone to show her she's safe. And this baby, this precious baby, we are gonna do everything we can for him or her." she states. Julian rests his head on her hand. "I love you Alexis." He says. She bends over him and kisses him. He puts his hand on the back of her neck and pulls her closer.
"I'll come back later if this is a bad time." a says from the doorway. Alexis sits back down. "Speak of the Devil." Julian says. "Dr. Monroe." Alexis greets. "Mrs. Jerome, let's talk in the hallway." he says. She kisses Julian again and they walk into the hallway.
"I actually wanted to talk to you." she tells him. "Can it wait? I to see how your daughter's doing." He says. "She went down to the cafe with her sister and little brother." Alexis says. "How's she feeling?" he asks. "Well, she slept all night and she's walking around so I'm guessing pretty good." she says.
"Well I want to check her myself when she gets back." He tells her. "What did you want to talk me about?" he asks. "Well, I'm, uh, I'm," she puts her hands on her stomach. "Pregnant?" he asks. "Yes." she answers. "You did have a very stressful day yesterday and last night. I can see why you're worried and upset. How far along are you?" he asks. "I don't actually know. I only found out a few days ago." she tells him.
"It's not problem." He comforts after seeing how upset she's getting. "It may take an hour or so to her everything in order but I'll make sure people know it's urgent." He tells her. "Thank you." she says softly. He gives her a pick hug. "I know it's probably hard to trust me with something like this considering who my father is but I can promise you it means nothing what happened between him and Julian." he says.
"I know he hurt Julian just as much if not more than Julian hurt him." He adds. "Thank you Dr. Monroe." she says. "If you want you can call me Griffin." He says. "I'll keep that in mind." she says. "Why don't you go be with your husband and send Jodie to my office when she gets back." He tells her. "I will." she tells him. "Don't worry too much. I'm sure everything is gonna be perfectly fine." he assures her.
She walks back into Julian's room. "Hey." He perks up. "He just wanted to come check on Jodie." she tells him. "Did you talk to him out the baby?" he asks. "Yeah, he says he'll take a look in a little while. He's just gotta get some stuff set up." she tells him. "Okay, okay."
"I'm sure the baby's gonna be fine." she says hopefully. "I'm sure." he says. He gives a half smile. "Dad! You're awake!" he looks up to Jodie. "Jo!" he screams. She runs up and hugs him. He puts his hand on the back of her head. "Oh my little girl. My beautiful little girl. I was so worried about you." He says. "I love you Daddy." she says. He kisses the side of her head. "I love you so much Jodie. I thought I was gonna lose you."
Sam walks over. "Hi Dad, how you feeling?" she asks. "So much better now. I have my daughters my wife and my babies. Now all I'm missing is Lucas." he says. "I heard my name." Lucas says from the door way. "Get over here. Join the hug." he says. Lucas does like his dad says and joins in the group hug. "I feel even better now." he says. When the hug breaks apart Jo keeps stuck to her father. When he realises she's crying he motions for Lucas and Sam go leave.
They nod in understanding and leave. "I'll go too." Alexis says. "No." Jodie says between sobs. Julian pushes Jodie off him just enough so he can look her in the eyes. "Are you okay, physically?" he asks. "Y-yes." she says. "Now look at me. I'm okay too. I'm gonna be fine Jodie. So tell me why you're crying." he says. "I don't know." she says. "It's okay not to be okay." He tells her. "I know." she says softly. "Now, you can keep crying and thats alright, or you can dry your tears and be strong for your dad."
She wipes the tears off her cheeks. "I'm gonna be strong. I'm always gonna be strong. I'm never gonna let anyone hurt me ever again." she states. "Good." Julian says. She forces a smile. "Jodie, Dr. Monroe wants to see you. I've been waiting to tell you." Alexis says. "Oh okay. I'll go see him now." she says.

10:37 a.m.
"Well everything seems to be fine. You're a lucky kid. It could've been a lot worse." Griffin tells Jodie. "I know. I'm thankful to be alive. I'm thankful my dad's alive too." she tells him. "God must've been looking after you." He says. "He's looking over everyone." she says. He smiles. "I assumed you wouldn't be religious." He admits. "I'm not. You comforted me with God, so I did the same back." she says. "You're a good kid." He says. "Thank you." she says back.
"Well you're all set, so when you get back to your dad's room if you could tell your mom I'm ready anytime she is that great." He says. "And maybe go talk to Dr Andre Maddox. Just to help talk some things through." he suggests. "Read my mind."

"Jo's holding up better than I thought she would. This is tough on me so I can't even imagine how it must be making her feel." Julian says. "She's a brave girl. Its just one of the many things I love about her." Alexis says. "You know I really love her like she was one of my own. I love Lucas and Leo that way too. I look at them like their my babies." she says. "There have been times she's adressed me and said Mo-Alexis. Like she's thinking it but just barely can't call me mom."
"She just lost her mother less than a year ago. She loves you like a mother, that's for sure. She just needs a little time. She'll be calling you Mom before you know it." He says. "I feel bad because she did grow up with her real mother and I don't want her to lose that." she says. "Jodie adores you. I think the real reason she doesn't call you mom is because she probably doesn't know if you're okay with that." Julian reasons.
"I'm more than okay with it. I would honestly love to be her mother." she says. "Tell her." he suggests. There's a small knock on the door. "Dad?" Jodie's voice says. "Come on in." He says loudly. "Alexis, Dr. Monroe says he's ready anytime you are. He told me to go see Andre and Dad he said you should have a nap." she tells them. "Okay well I'll see you both in a little while. You love two." she says, kissing Julian goodbye and touching Jo's shoulder as she goes past. "Well I gotta go too." Jo says. "I guess I'm taking a nap."
"Love you Dad." she says. "Love you too honey." He says.

"Hey Jodie. It's good to see you again. Its horrible we have to see under these circumstances but never the less, still good to see you." Andre says. "It's good to see you too. I really need someone to talk to and not only are you a professional but I like to consider you a friend." she says. "You're a sweet kid Jo. I'm glad you're here." He says.

"Are you ready to see your baby for the first time?" Griffin asks Alexis. She takes a deep breath. "As ready as I'll ever be." she answers.
