General Hospital Rewrite Part One

December 24th 2016 Part 4

6:23 p.m.
     Danny taps on Molly's hand. "Are you Santa's helper?" He asks. "Yep. Tonight me and Krissy are gonna be helping out Santa. Do you wanna go tell Santa what you want?" She asks.
     "Yes!" He nods excitedly, taking Molly's hand and walking up to Alan. As soon as he gets a look at his face he recognizes him. That doesn't stop him from jumping onto Alan's lap and smiling. "I know it's you Dr. Harper." He whispers. Alan bites his lip. "Well, you see, Santa is every busy, especially on Christmas eve, so he gets men like me to help out a little. We find out what kids want and we tell him. That way he can hear from as many kids as possible."
     "Oh, that's smart." He says, satisfied with his answer. "So, what do you want for Christmas?" Alan asks. Danny leans and whispers in his ear. "Oh, that's nice. That's all you want?" He asks. Danny nods. "That's all I want."
     "You're a good boy Danny." He says. Danny hugs him and goes back to his brother. Molly and Kristina both lean on Alan's chair. "What'd Danny ask for?" Molly asks. "Santa child confidentiality." He says. The sisters look at each other. "Come on Alan, you wanna tell us." Kristina says.
     "Okay, but only if you help me first. I wanna know the kids' names before they come up. Who's who?" He asks. "Well, you know Danny, Jake, and Jackson. Then there's the other little blond boy, that's Rocco. The older boy with brown hair is Cameron, he's Jake's older brother, he's also Aiden's older brother, that's Aiden next to him. The oldest girl is Emma, the younger one is Charlotte. The boy with the glasses is Spencer, I doubt he believes in Santa." Kristina explains.
     "Then of course you know Leo. Oh, and then there's Avery too." Molly adds. "I know Avery. She was with Ava when she came to see me once." He tells them, not catching his mistake. Molly and Kristina look up at each other. "Why did Ava go to see you?"
     "Oh, routine things. She needed to talk about things. Women's health things. I can't really get into it, I know she's gone but still, confidentiality." He says, making it known he's uncomfortable. This isn't a deterrent for Kristina. "Was Ava pregnant?"
     "What, no, nothing like that. I would've told Julian by now if she had been." He tells them. "You know, I didn't like Ava but it feels weird hating her now that she's dead." Kristina says. "Especially because of how and why she died. It wasn't even because of something she did."
     "I didn't know Ava super well, but I know what it's like to lose your sibling. Even though you aren't his daughters, you should still provide some support for Julian. And don't forget to cherish each other." He warns. "We would never. Us Davis girls are thick as thieves." Molly says, smiling at her sister.
     "Speaking of family, who's related to who? It's always confused me."
     "It confuses everyone. So, Danny and Jake are both Jason's sons, Jake's got two other brothers on his mom's side, they're Cameron and Aiden. Emma's parents are Patrick and Robin, Robin is over there and I think Patrick just went to the bathroom or something, they both used to work at GH. Now where's it starts to get really confusing. Charlotte is Valentin's daughter, Valentin is our mom's half-brother so she's our cousin. Spencer is Nicholas' son, making him our second cousin, Nicholas is Mom's nephew. Rocco's parents are Dante and Lulu. Dante's mother is Olivia and his father is Sonny, sorry, my dad, making him my brother, Avery's brother, and Leo's brother. Molly and I are also cousins because our dad's are half brothers. Joss is Carly and Jax's, he's not here right now. Technically Jason is a Quartermain, meaning Danny and my boyfriend Dillon are cousins and-"
     "Krissy, you lost him. You lost me too and I'm part of this family." Molly interrupts. "The most confusing thing about my family is that I'm not related to Neil." He says.
     Molly and Kristina laugh. "I didn't even get to the part where Morgan and Kiki were married but have a sister together." She says. "I'm never asking another question about anyone's relations to anyone."
     "It's a safe bet to assume everyone is related." Molly says. He nods and turns his attention to his approaching wife. "Well then, you look adorable Alan. You know what this means? You have to grow a beard now." Carla says.
     "I'll consider it. I mean, of course my love." He corrects. Molly and Kristina take a few steps to the side, giving them space. "You can say it, I look ridiculous." He says once they're out of ear shot.
     "Actually, you don't look that bad. I like the facial hair. A little less but I think you'd look good. I mean, you always look good. I'd sit on your lap any day." She says. He laughs, covering his face. "Nadia is getting some water, I'll send her over." She says, kissing him quickly.
     "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus." Nadia teases, walking over. "Don't worry, I won't tell my dad."
     "What do you want for Christmas?" He asks. "I already have my whole family, I have everything I need." She says.
