1:30 p.m.
Jo rests her head on Alexis' shoulder and yawns. "Jojo, you still with us?" he asks. She nods. "I think maybe we should give Jo some time to rest." Alexis says. "We'll come back later honey." Julian says, kissing her head. Alexis kisses Jo's cheek. "Bye." she says. They walks out and close the door behind them. "So what do you wanna do?" he asks. "Oh, I don't know." she says. "We could go home and watch a movie, we could go out somewhere, we could hang around here for a few hours but that doesn't sound fun."
"Let's go home. I wanna take a bath." she says, holding his hand.

2:23 p.m.
Julian runs his hands over Alexis' shoulders and kisses her neck. She relaxes against him. He moves his hand and rubs her stomach and back up to her shoulders. "That feels good." she tells him as he puts his hands under the water and rubs them back up her back. "You like it like this?" he asks, rubbing a little harder. "Hmm, perfect." she moans. "You're stressing too much. It's not good for the baby." he tells her. "Of course I'm stressing. Jodie was hurt and she's going through Hell." she says. "I know. Jodie has a lot of people supporting her and I know for a fact she wants you and the baby to be healthy."
"The baby and I will be fine." she says. "I just want everything to be okay." he says. "Everything will be okay." she assures him. "You know what I can't stop thinking about?" he questions. "What?" she asks. "Arthur was only a year older than Jodie is when I meet him." he says. "He was so young." Alexis comments. "He was. He was only nineteen when Stevie died. Nineteen. Knowing what he went through before twenty and what Jo's going though at sixteen, it's a lot. Things just seem to be getting worse. Imagine what her kids are gonna go through by ten."
Alexis swallows. "I shouldn't talk like that. Things are gonna get better. By the time Jodie has kids, Jerome will be like any other name." he says. Alexis doesn't say anything, she just shrugs and wraps his arms around her. "Okay, you're acting weird. What's wrong?" he asks. "What? Nothing." she claims. "Oh, okay well you know me, I'm just gonna give up if I think something is bothering you." he turns her so she's looking at him. "Come on, what's going on?" he asks gently. She shakes her head. He puts his hand on her cheek and wipes under her eye with his thumb.
"Honey, talk to me. Please, I want to help you. Is there something wrong with the baby?" he worries. "Baby is fine." she tells him. "Is something wrong with you?" he asks. "No, no I'm perfectly fine. The baby and I are fine." she assures him. "Then what's wrong?" he pushes. "I don't wanna talk about it." she says. "Alexis, this is clearly a problem and I'm not letting you deal with it alone." he states. "Darling, if I wanted you to know I'd tell you." she says, going to get out of the tub. Julian grabs her hand and pulls her back against him. "You don't get off that easily."
"I can't talk about it." she says. "Why not?" he asks. "I just, I can't." she says. He looks down. "Are you sure you're okay?" he asks. "I am." she says. He kisses her hand. "I love you." he says. "I love you too. Julian," she hesitates, "I love you." she repeats. He smiles.

Jodie wakes up to a hand pressing on her mouth. She struggles to no avail. "No I.V. that's not what I expected." he says. She recognizes his voice almost immediately as Paul Hornsby. "You know, I really didn't want to go after you. I didn't feel like making myself Jerome enemy number one but your uncle just had to her assigned the case of the hospital killer. I didn't get to take care of him so you'll do." he hisses. She grabs his wrist and gets herself free, making a move for the door. He grabs her ankle, pulling her to the ground.
She kicks and opens the door, falling into the hallway. Her side screams in protest and when she goes to stand her knee lands in a pool of her blood, making her fall. Paul gets on top of her and she shuts her eyes, unable to fight and unwilling to look. His weight is lifted off her and there's a thud. A blood curdling scream comes from Paul and she looks, seeing the needle. She grabs it and jabs the ground, breaking off the tip. She looks over at Paul and recognizes Alan holding him back, his arm bent at an awkward angle. Alan looks over at Jodie. "Don't move, you're hurt."
"I'm fine." she gets onto her knees and stands. "You didn't kill my uncle?" she asks Paul. "Didn't get the chance." he growls. Alan jerks him, making him cry in pain. "I don't take kindly to people trying to kill me. You should see what I did to the last guy." Alan sneers. "Jodie!" Lucas comes running, he drops to her side and pulls her to him. "Stay away!" he tells Alan. "He saved me." Jodie tells her brother. "Alan saved me from Paul." she says. "What?" he asks. "Paul's the hospital killer!" she says. Lucas looks over at Alan and Paul. "You son of a bitch!" he curses.
Griffin and a few other doctors and nurses join them in the hall. "What's going on?" he asks, kneeling next to Lucas to help him lift Jodie. She clings to her older brother. "The D.A. is the hospital killer. Dr. Harper caught him trying to kill Jo." he holds Jodie closer. A couple cops join the mix and pull Alan away from Paul. "Go take him to the E.R. and have someone jam his arm back in place." Lucas orders. The cops get Paul to his feet and drag him off. Alan walks over to Jodie. "Are you okay?" he asks. She pushes off Lucas and hugs him. "Thank you. Thank you."
"I couldn't let him hurt you." he says. "You're my hero." she tells him. He swallows and hugs back. "I'm glad you're okay." he says. "Come on Jojo, let's go take care of that side." Lucas says. "Thank you Alan." he says. Alan smiles. "I'll get you back to bed and Griffin's gonna take care of you while I call Dad." he tells her. She nods.

Griffin helps Jodie into bed and pulls the blankets over her legs. "Luckily you didn't lose much blood this time." he says. "Enough to slip." she mutters. "That was just what'd you call it? A little, inconvenient setback? Lucas said something along those lines." he says. She laughs. "Just a setback." she says. "I have good news. I think you'll still be released Saturday." he tells her, making her smile wider. "Jodie!" Julian and Alexis run into the room. "What happened?" Julian asks. "Are you okay honey?" Alexis asks. "I'm okay. I'll explain everything later. Just know that the hospital killer is caught and Alan Harper is a hero."
"What'd Alan do?" she asks. "He saved my life." Jodie tells them. "I heard my name." Alan says from the doorway. Alexis runs to hug him. "Jo said you saved her and that's all I need to know." she says. "Anyone woulda done the same." he says. "You tackled a serial killer! Most people woulda screamed for help but you actually saved me." she says. "It was nothing." he says. "It was everything to me." she tells him. Alexis goes back to Jo's side. "We owe you so much." Alexis says. He smiles down at the floor. "I owe you a drink." Julian says. "I don't drink much."
"Well I'm buying you a drink sometime. Its the least I can do." he says. "I'd like that." Alan tells him. "Out wives are friends, we should get to know each other." he says. "You saved my kid's life, I don't know what else to do." Julian admits. "Just uh, take care of your family. And you," he looks at Alexis, "take it easy. You too Jo." he says. "I gotta go. My wife is probably in the E.R. assuming I'm dead." he laughs. "You go take care of your family too." Alexis says. He turns and leaves the room.

1:23 p.m.
Tom turns the corner and stops himself before he crashes into a doctor. "So sorry." he says, looking at the doctor. "Alan? Ain't the world a remarkable place?" he asks. "Tom?" Alan replies. "What the Hell are you doing here?" Tom demands. "I work here. What the Hell are you doing here?" Alan retorts. "No use lying," Tom relaxes a bit, "my niece." he says. Alan's eyes widen. "Not what you're thinking. My niece Jodie. She was brought in yesterday." he tells him. "Jodie, Jodie what?" he asks. "Miller." Tom answers. "Julian's kid."
"Yeah, Julian's kid. Listen Alan, I'm in a bad situation. I wanna be here for Jodie what I don't think I have long left." he tells him. "You sick?" he asks. "No, I just know I don't have long. Incase I do, incase I'm not around, you'll be the only one who knows that we all did. You have to keep an eye on Jodie for me. Incase." he says. "Tom, please, I've spent twenty six years trying to forget what we did. What you made me do." he corrects. "I did what I did to protect my sister. Its what I've always done." Tom tells him. "I don't think I can do this."
"Well, if I die, you'll have to." Tom tells him, walking away. Alan swallows and remembers the past.
