1:34 p.m.
"I'm so excited to meet this new gynecologist, Dr. Monroe says he's just so sweet and he's a great doctor." Alexis says. "We gotta see how we like the guy first. If one of us doesn't like him we'd better find someone else soon. Everyday you go without having someone to talk to takes a week off my life." Julian says. "You're being a bit dramatic." she comments. "I'm nervous. I want you and this baby to be healthy."
"I want that too. That's why we're taking to one of the best gynecologists in the country." Alexis says. "This guys name is like Hopper or Hooper right?" he asks. "Harper. Alan Harper. He's Irish." she says. "Oh." he says. "What do you have against the Irish?" she asks. "Nothing. I mean, there's no problem with the Irish as a group." He defends himself. "I'm just messing with you." she tells him.
"Well he's already late." Julian says. "It's only like five minutes. He probably got lost in the hospital. He is new here." she reminds him. "Hi, so sorry I'm late." they turn around to face him. "Julian Jerome." Julian introduced sticking his hand out for Alan to shake. "Nice to meet you Mr. Jerome." He greets. Alan shakes his hand and Julian tightens his grip. He lets him go and Alexis shakes his hand too. "You must be Alexis Jerome." he greets. "Nice to meet you Dr. Harper."
"I'm sorry I'm late. I got lost and ended up in an art therapy room or something. I didn't even know that existed. The guy seems weird." he comments. Julian shots a glance to Alexis. "I hit a nerve. Sorry if I said something." he apologizes. "We know the man who does art therapy." Julian says. "Sorry if I insulted a friend of yours." he says. "Franco is far from a friend." Julian tightens his jaw. "I know there's a lot of rivalries in this town and I don't know who's involved or anything so sorry if I overstep any boundaries."
"No one in Port Charles says sorry." Julian tells him. "Oh." he looks down. "Why don't you come in." he says, unlocking his office door. Alexis grabs Julian's arm. "Be nice to him. He's got good intentions and he seems nice." she says. "I just want to make sure he's gonna be good." Julian tells her. She kisses him. "My big overprotective man." he rubs his hand over her stomach and they walk in.
His office is almost completely empty except for his desk, some chairs, and the boxes in the corner. There's a couple picture frames facing him on his desk and an open box with more unpacked pictures near the side of his desk. Besides that the only thing on his desk is a pile of files. "You're already in your second trimester right?" he asks. "What?" Julian turns to Alexis. "What? No no. I'm only nine week along." she tells him.
"Jerome? Jerome, Jerome, Jerome." He flips through his files and pulls a different on out. "Wrong people. Sorry." he apologizes. Julian rolls his eyes but Alexis smacks his arm. "I'm usually not this unorganized. My wife and I just moved with our son here and I'm still getting moved in here and at home and my nephew just started college and we had to move him in too. It's been hectic." he tells them.
"Here you are." he says, getting one of the folders and opening it. "So D.O.C. was June second, putting you at almost exactly nine weeks. Are you still having morning sickness?" he asks. "Almost every morning. Either it's that or my husband's morning breath." she comments. "It isn't that bad." he argues. "No it's not honey you're fine." she pats his shoulder. "Do you have any concerns about anything?" Alan asks.
"Well of course we're worried about another miscarriage." Alexis says. "That's a valid concern. I know you two lost a baby recently and you your age plays a factor. But you're also very healthy and taking care of yourself and the baby. I don't think there's too much of a risk but there is still more than most. I'm gonna want to see you more often than I would with a normal pregnancy. You're high risk and I want to be with you every step of the way." he says. Julian's phone starts to ring. "Its Sam." he tells Alexis. "Our daughter." he tells Alan.
He walks out of the room. "Actually I was hoping we could talk without him for a second. Its not that I don't want him involved, it's just that he's been through so much involving lossing kids and I don't want him to get you upset. I'm just so nervous about miscarrying this precious miracle." she tells him. "I get it. Before my wife and I had our daughter, Nadia, we had three miscarriages." he tells her. "That's horrible."
"I'm not gonna say it wasn't. We nearly gave up hope. But I want to tell you that I am gonna do everything I can to help you to have a happy healthy baby." he says. "Thank you." she says. "It's my job. Now, let's talk more phycial side of things. I know you had an ultrasound with Dr. Monroe but I want to do one myself and see how the little one is doing. I also want to do blood work and just a general physical." he tells her.
"Alright. When do you want to do all that?" she asks. "Well you should come back in a day or two for the blood work and physical. If you want we can do an ultrasound now." he says. "Well depending on what that call is about we'll decide." she says. "It's good to get him involved. How many other kids do you have?" he asks. "Julian and I have a daughter Sam together, she's both our oldest. Then Julian has a son Lucas, Dr. Lucas Jones. I have two college aged daughters, Julian has a sixteen year old girl and a one and a half year old son."
"So a big blended family. That's nice. Since you said Dr. Jones isn't the oldest I'm wondering if you have any grandkids." He says. "Yes, we have a grandson from our daughter named Danny, her soon to be step son and she's expecting another." she says. "What's your daughter's name?" he asks. "Samantha, not sure if she's using Morgan or McCall." she says. "I have a Samantha Morgan and a Jason Morgan together, that them?" he asks. "That's our little girl." she beams. "I haven't meet her in person but they're coming to see me in a few days." he tells her.
"Well that's me and Julian's other offspring. I'm kinda nervous about why she called him." she admits. "I'm sure it's nothing." he says. She smiles. Julian opens the door and walks back in. He's upset, not tragedy upset, but change of plans upset. "Sam and Jason changed their wedding date. One guess on what day in August." he says. "Oh no. The thirteenth." she says. "Yep. I don't know what I'm gonna do." he admits.
"Dr. Harper, it's been so nice meeting you and we'll be sure to set a schedule soon but I think this is something my husband and I will need to talk about." she says. "It was nice meeting you Mr. and Mrs. Jerome." he replies.

Julian drops his keys on the table. "So what are you gonna do? You can't miss our daughter's wedding and this meeting is important." Alexis says. "I don't know. I don't want to miss Sam's wedding, I mean, she's our daughter. But if I don't go to this meeting with Vince it'll ruin Crimson. I don't know what to do." he says. "I guess I could go to the meeting and rush to get home. No that wouldn't work. The meeting is at lunch time and I can't get back from Philly by two." he says.
"Talk to Sam." she tells him. "She's gonna hate me. I hate me. I mean, is it actually any question which I should choose. She's our daughter." he says. "Sam will understand. This is two big events." she says. "I feel awful." he says. "Talk to our daughter." Alexis urges. "I'm gonna go lay down for a little while." she adds. "I'll call Sam." he says. "Good." she kisses his cheek.
He tosses his phone in his hands. Why couldn't he choose? What could he do, let his daughter down or let his magazine become a laughing stock?

So August 13th could be a good day for Crimson and bad day for Sam, or good day for Sam bad day for Crimson.  Also happy Halloween for those reading this on Halloween. When the story gets to Halloween I got an awesome Halloween planned. I'm hoping by Christmas the story will catch up to real time. If it doesn't let's aim for the Julexis anniversary (Feb. 19th) anyways hope you enjoyed. The next part may or may not be August 13th, I'll see how it goes. Hope everyone had a safe Halloween. Anyone do anything fun? As always thanks for reading sorry I'm rambling. <3
