7:21 p.m.
"I know this is a little cheesy but I wanna say something." Julian states, standing at the head of the table. "I love you all so much. I never thought I'd have this much family. This many people to love. If you'd told me five years ago that I'd be in Disney with my daughter and her family, my son and his fiance, my toddler, and my Jodie, I'd call you a liar and assume you were trying to hurt me. If you told me I found my mother I'd just laugh. This is more than I ever expected to have and it's a little much. I try to be the best father, grandfather, husband, son, I can be. I stumble and fall but I love you all so much more than I can express. I can't say I'd give the world for you you, because you guys are my world." he finishes, sitting down.
Alexis kisses his cheek. "That was so sweet." she says. "It's true." he says. They order their dinners and by halfway through there was a tension between Julian and Alexis. She'd mentioned being tired and he'd said she should just go back to their room and sleep. She gave him a glare but hadn't said a word to him since. Jo stares at both of them from across the table. Neither notice. Julian glances at Alexis just as she's doing the same. They both look the opposite way.
Jo stands and slams her hands on the table. "God dammit, enough with this stupid will she say something, will he say something. You're acting like children! For the love of God and in the name of this family just go talk to each other. You're not protecting each other, you're just hurting everyone who loves you!" she starts screaming in the middle of the hotel restaurant. "Now go up to the room and work this out like married adults who love each other. I don't really give a crap if we can hear you screaming all the way down here! I tried to drop hints all day and neither of you got it through your skulls! I'm sick of it! Just don't come back down till you've said everything that needs to be said!"
She takes a deep breath. "Dad you go one way, Mom you go another." she finishes, slightly out of breath. They don't argue. Julian goes out the right and Alexis out the left. Jo sits down and calms down. Lucas looks across at Sam. "Remind me to never piss you off." he says. "Do you need to go lay down?" Sam asks. Jo rolls her eyes.

Julian gets to the hotel room door only a few seconds before Alexis. He unlocks the door and opens it for her, walking in behind her. She sits on the edge of the bed. "I Jodie dropped some hints." Julian says. "You don't sleep cause you're worried about me?" he asks. "You've been in a lot of pain recently. It's just how you sleep, on your side. I flip you onto your back while you're asleep." she tells him. "You're not getting sleep because of me?" he asks. "I don't mean it like that."
"What do you mean it like?" he demands, meaner than intended. "I mean that when I wake up in the middle of the night and you're writhing in pain I roll you over." she says. "I don't ask you to do that." he argues. "Stop it. Stop it. We can't like this." she says. "How do you wanna do it than, yelling's always been our go to." he says. She puts her hands on her stomach. "I don't want this little one to hear us. Do you?" she asks. He shakes his head. "No I don't. I gotta say I'm sorry." he says, taking a step closer.
He puts his hands over hers. "I'm sorry you heard Mommy and Daddy yelling at each other. We're gonna calm down and not yell. It's gonna be okay. We're just a bit grumpy." he says softly. "So how do you wanna do this?" he asks gently. "Well, um, how about you start by getting something off your chest, then I'll go, we keep going until everything is in the open. Okay, no lying, no half truths, no more secrets." she says. "No more secrets." he agrees. "You start." she tells him.
"Okay, because I thought it helped you sleep better, the pain wasn't bothering me." he starts. "My turn. I am so much more comfortable when you hold me while we sleep. If it didn't hurt you so much I would fall asleep so fast." she says. "Me again. I took a half a portion of my pain meds this morning so I could make it through the day." she smiles at his confession. Normally he didn't take any. "I hate the mattress so much. It's too firm. I feel like I'm sleeping on the floor."
"The mattress is horrible." Julian agrees. "The reason I'm suffering through the pain is because I don't wanna manage it with medication and get addicted." he admits. They keep confessing things one at a time until the last one, Alexis. She looks at Julian and back down. "Everytime this baby makes me happy, I feel so guilty, and sick." she admits to him. He tilts his head. "What? Why?" he asks. "The baby we lost. Did we move on too fast?" she asks.
"No." he states. "No no we didn't. Alexis, neither of us have forgotten the child we lost, but that doesn't mean we have to let grief control us. We didn't know how long we'd still have the chance to have this baby. I know what our baby, the one we lost, would want Mommy and Daddy to be happy. We can't change what happened. All we can do is move forward, not forget the past, but move on. When I meet Sam, I didn't wanna love a daughter. Not after Jodie. I spent ten years not wanting to feel the love of being a father. I can't do that again."
Alexis wipes the tears from her eyes. "I don't wanna fight ever again." she tells him. "I don't either. Let's not." he says. "Everytime we get angry at each other, let's sit down and do the five truths each thing." Julian suggests. "Okay. Lets do that. Lets be the best couple ever. Give this kid the perfect life." Alexis says. "Absolutely." he kisses her. She kisses him back and before he can protest they're already on the bed. He lifts her shirt and kisses her neck. He slips his hand down the front of her pants. "Wait wait wait. I'm getting a complaint from my copilot." she tells him.
"Really?" he puts his hand on her stomach. "Yeah, there were a couple little moves there. "You know what baby's saying?" she asks. "What's baby saying?" Julian asks. "Baby is saying Daddy will not do those things to Mommy while they are in there." she says. He laughs and kisses her. "We should probably head back down stairs." Julian says. "Or we can ignore the little one's protests." Alexis points out. "Hmm."

8:12 p.m.
Julian and Alexis walk back into the restaurant. They sit at the table, her practically on top of him. "Better?" Sam asks. "Better." they say at the same time. "Grandma, Grandpa, are you two fighting?" Danny asks. "No Danny, we're not fighting. Grandpa and I love each other very much." Alexis says. "Well I hate to do this but I think we're gonna get these boys ready for bed. Early morning tomorrow and they gotta get a good nights sleep." Sam says. "Goodnight Grandma!" Danny hugs her.
"Goodnight little aunt or uncle." he says, his head at her stomach level. He hits Julian after. "Goodnight Grandpa." he says. "It's okay you got scared on the movie ride. So did I." he whispers. Julian keeps Danny in the hug for a few more seconds. "I love you Danny." he says. Danny and Jake go around the table saying goodnight to everyone else. Molly taps Kristina's arm. "We should probably go too. I mean, real early morning." she says.
"I guess that's us too." Lucas says, him and Brad both stand. "Brad wait. I need to ask you something." Alexis says. "Course." he walks off to the side. Alexis gets up and joins him. "Lucas said something about a doctor collapsing. Dr. Alan Harper, do you know the real story?" she asks. "Yeah, he was running to go get to maternity and he kinda stopped awkwardly and fell. I think he got up, he didn't seem too hurt. He probably just moved the wrong way."
"I hope he's okay." she worries. "I'm sure he's fine." Brad assures her. She smiles. "I'm seeing him tomorrow." she tells him. "That's good. I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight Alexis." he says. Alexis walks back to the table just as Julian tells Jo to take Leo upstairs and get him ready for bed. "Leo say nighty night to Daddy. Say goodnight Daddy." she tells her baby brother. "Nigh Dada." he bubbles. "Goodnight Leo, goodnight Jodie." he says. "Goodnight Dad. I'll see you in the morning."
The table was left empty expect for Alexis and  Julian and his mother. "I'm gonna try and go call Dr. Harper again. I know it's late but I still wanna confirm our appointment for tomorrow afternoon." she says, giving Julian time to say goodnight to his mother alone. A nurse from the home had volunteered to come and pick her up. It was easier with the wheelchair this way, as opposed to the dance they did trying to fold it and get it into the trunk of the rental car.
"So Mom. Its our last day. This is goodbye." Julian reminds her. "Unless it's not. Have you thought about my offer?" he asks. "I have." she tells him. "Do you wanna come live in Port Charles?" he asks. "No, not right now honey. I love you and your family more than anything else, but I don't want you stopping your life to take care of me. You've got two little one's on the way. You live your life. Mine is ending." she says. "I wanna be with you for however long we have left." Julian tells her.
"I wanna be with you too. But this is best." she says, it's clear her answer is final. He swallows his sadness and just nods. "Okay. If this is what you want. Just know, if you ever change your mind, I will be on the first flight down here to help you move." he says. "Thank you honey." she holds his hand. "You've given me something to live for." she adds. "You've given answers I never thought I could possible find."
"Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind in a few weeks and you'll have to come get me." she says. He smiles at her. "I'd love that."

9:34 p.m.
Sam stretches out on the bed. Her baby bump seemed so much bigger now looking at it from the angle she was. Danny jumps onto the bed next to her. "Goodnight Mommy. Goodnight Daddy. Goodnight Emily." he hugs her stomach gently before running over to the bed Jake's already fast asleep in. He crawls in and curls up next to his brother. "Danny saying goodnight to Emily and his little aunt or uncle was just the cutest thing. Did you teach him that?" Sam asks.
"No, he probably picked it up from you and your mother." Jason says. "Oh, hard kick. Emily resents that statement." She laughs. "I think that's our little girl's way of saying it's time to sleep." Sam adds.

Julian and Alexis decided on switching which side of the bed they slept on. This way Julian could still hold Alexis while not putting weight on his bad side. He feels Alexis drift off and with the comfort of not being in pain he soon joins her.

"Julian calm down." Arthur urges. "I will not calm down!" he yells back. "He's an abusive rapist and he's only going to jail for drug charges! As far as I'm concerned that asshole murdered my brother!" he yells. "He's got enough drug charges to get him at least thirty years. That's a long time. He'll be at least almost sixty when he gets out. His life is over." Arthur tries to convince him. His accent was still strong and fresh.
The grief of loss still hung in the air. Stevie hadn't been dead long but Julian was dying for revenge. One way or another, he would get it. He didn't care if he had to wait thirty years.
