9:13 a.m.
"Where's my daughter?" Alexis asks frantically. "Alexis." Lucas runs over to her. "I just heard. She's being taken for a head scan." he tells her. "What happened?" she asks. "She was in gym. Her head was hit and she collapsed." he explains. "They think it made the old injury worse." he adds. "Is she gonna be okay?" she asks. "I don't know Alexis. I don't know. They won't tell me anything else. I'm her brother, I can't treat her so I can't know anything. It doesn't look great." he hugs her.
"She's so young. This can't happen to her. She's a child." Alexis cries. She looks up and sees Sonny. She pushed away from Lucas and walks over to him. "You bastard! You son of a bitch! This is your fault! This is all your fault!" she yells, slapping him. She starts hitting his chest. "She would never have been hurt if it weren't for you." she says, starting to cry again. He holds her gently. "What's going on?" he asks Lucas.
"Jodie, she's hurt. She's hurt really badly." he says coldly. "Alexis is right. This is your fault." he says, pulling her back over to him. "We have to tell your dad. We have to tell Julian. Lucas, you gotta go tell Julian." she says. "I'm going. I'm going." he says. He takes off running. "Alexis, I didn't mean for any of this to happen. You have to believe me." Sonny almost begs. "Her blood is on your hands." she says, storming off.

9:47 a.m.
Griffin walks over to Alexis. "I really hoped I wouldn't be seeing Jodie again. She's a great kid but I didn't want anything to happen to her." he says. "How is she?" she asks. "Weak and unstable. She's still unconscious. When she hit her head she must've made it worse. She was doing well too. I shouldn't have cleared her for gym. I should've waited. This is my fault." he says. "No, no this is Sonny's fault. Sonny and that boy who knocked her over." she says.
He shakes his head. "I should've known. I should've done more for her." he says regretfully. Alexis wipes her cheeks. "We did a scan of her head. There's a lot of bleeding. She's at a high risk of having a seizure. She's gonna need to fight like Hell. She's a strong girl but this is gonna take a lot out of her." he says. "Is there anything we can go for her?" she asks. "Be there for her. Show her what she's fighting for." he tells her.
"We just relieved the pressure so the nurses are cleaning her up and were gonna move her to the I.C.U." he adds. Alexis nods. "I'm gonna go with her and I'll be back to get you so you can see her." he tells her. "Okay, okay." she says weakly. She sits down, both hands on her stomach. "Your sissy is gonna be okay. She'll be okay baby." she says, trying to stay calm.

"Lucas?" Julian asks, his son having just bursted into the conference room. "Jo's hurt. Dad you gotta come now." he says. Julian stands up. "I'm coming." he doesn't bother getting his laptop, he just runs out of the room after Lucas.

9:57 a.m.
Alexis rubs Jo's cheek. She slowly opens an eye but closes it again. "Your dad will be here any minute." she says softly. "Wh- happen?" she asks. "You got hit in gym class." she tells her. "Alex?" she asks. "Shh, it's okay sweetie, I'm here." Alexis says. "No." Jo says, barely audible. She closes her eyes again. "Jodie, your dad will be here any minute. Stay awake for him." she encourages.
"Did I miss math?" she asks. "I think so sweetheart." she laughs, seeing Jo's sense of humor still intact. "I'm not sweet. I am darkness. F-fear me." she laughs weakly. "Okay Jodie. Okay." she says, running her hand over her head. "I'm tired." she says. "Keep those beautiful blue eyes open." she says.
Through the narrow opening of her eyes Alexis can see her look to the door and smile. "Dad." she says. "I'm here. I'm here. I'm so sorry baby." he kneels at her bedside, holding her hand. Griffin knocks on the open door. "I'm just here to make sure everything's okay. I see she's awake. That's good. How you feeling Jodie?" he asks. "Jodie?" he asks when he doesn't get a response.
"Dad, Alexis, go outside." Lucas says. They back away from Jo's bedside. Griffin puts his hands on the sides of her heads and positions her so she's looking at him. "Jodie can you hear me. Jo? Come on kid answer me." he nudges her head. "Lucas get them out." he yells. "Dad please. She'll be okay. Just give us some time." he says. They back out of the room. "She's having a seizure." Griffin says. "I figured it would happen. Hopefully everything's gonna hit fast and she'll recover. She's so young and full of potential." he says.
He holds her gently as she shakes. What's only seconds feels like hours to them. She finally stops and opens her eyes. She grunts and makes small sounds of discomfort. "You're alright. Jo you're okay. Just rest. You're fine." Griffin says. "Tired." she says. "That's normal. You're gonna be okay. You can sleep now." he tells her. "Your brother's gonna be right here with you." he comforts. Lucas sits next to her. "I'm here Jodie. I'm here."
